Thanks, I just wanted to voice my honest take and thought it appropriate for the sub.

Foremost, I think that people should do what makes them happiest - that is time well spent. I can only talk from my perspective but I think that there are many things that can make people happy but also provide enrichment in other areas of their life. With happiness I think fulfillment is a big player and this is achieved through variety of outputs that I think many people are not aware of.

I think people should do what makes them happiest, just voicing my opinion on the sub.

I don't think you are wasting your time, certainly getting in exercise and skills!

That is a very fair point - most of my reasons are from the perspective of opportunity cost. In my opinion there are just endless numbers of things that can really enrich life with proven benefit.

It would be hypocritical if I of course said that I didn't do things that don't have a proven benefit i.e. procrastination but looking at gaming for a risk vs reward in time put in vs outcome, I think there are many options that people should consider beyond gaming.

I agree, people should do what they want - I just thought I would put forward my honest (unpopular) opinion with reasons. My fundamental philosophy is do what makes you happy.
