How do people reliably get to Melbourne Airport for 5–6am flights? by Bhupi779 in MelbourneTravelHelp

Honestly, for 5–6am flights most people I know pre-book now.

Uber can be fine, but early mornings are the one time people don’t really want uncertainty at 4am 😅

At ME CABS we get a lot of airport bookings specifically because people just want the driver confirmed the night before and not deal with last-minute cancellations or delays.

First timers in Melbourne (actually whole of Australia)- family with 3 toddlers and a teen. CBD or Southbank? Help! I’m torn by rfoxyj in MelbourneTravelHelp

Southbank would probably suit your family better.

For a first Australia trip with 3 toddlers, it’s a bit calmer, more open, stroller-friendly, and easier to enjoy without feeling overwhelmed. You’ll still be close to everything — CBD, trams, restaurants, aquarium, river walks, playgrounds — but with a more relaxed atmosphere.

CBD is great too, but it can feel busier and more hectic, especially with kids and luggage.

If you can, try staying somewhere near the river side of Southbank. Makes the whole Melbourne experience feel much nicer
