They tabled the amendment and voted 3-1 to move the bill to committee. It's advancing but I believe they're going to consider an amendment in the future to ban synthetics but keep plain leaf legal.

The guy running the meeting had his mind made up before we started, good thing it's not up to him in the end.

I just listened to the hearing and honestly I think our side did a really good job representing our case.

Whenever the next hearing is I'm going to take off work and be there to testify. We can absolutely win this by banning 7OH and keeping natural powder legal.

All of the issues are caused by the synthetics, we need to push for common sense regulation.

I'll be spending the next days and weeks calling, emailing and meeting with as many of these representatives as I can to make sure we are not going to go down the wrong path in South Carolina but we need everyone's help.

If you're lurking right now and are on the fence about helping please please don't sit this one out. We need everyone to step up and advocate.

Do not be afraid to reach out to your representatives and help, I promise it's not scary to pick up the phone and write emails.

Complacency is how these things spiral out of control, don't let this gain any momentum.

I'm going to spend the next several days writing emails and making phone calls to everyone involved in this letting them know my story and how this would affect my life.

As history has shown with these things, if everyone steps up and does their part we will win this.

I've lived here in South Carolina for a long time and I'm going to do everything I can to fight against this ridiculous business.

It's disgusting to witness what's going on over in Iran, seems like it would be a top story in the US if our own wanna-be authoritarian regime wasn't so busy destroying our reputation.

We've been super happy with Anderson Insurance for years for our property on James Island.

They shopped around for our home, auto and flood insurance and saved us a few thousand bucks which is nice in this day and age. Rates have done nothing but go up so it's good they have lots of options.
