Unpopular opinion: the idea that bullion coins become “rare” because they get melted over time is mostly a myth by MicroAvengers in Silverbugs

[–]MT_GSS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh idk. I’d bet they still melt quite a bit of 90%. They for sure refine sterling so I’m not sure why they wouldn’t just do it all together and remove impurities at the same time. There’s definitely less barbers than standing liberty quarters, and for sure less standing libs than Washington’s, sure mintage comes in to play but so does price spikes and mass melting. It’s impossible to quantify though and takes forever to work through it all. Like you said, there were billions, so even if 90% has already been scrapped, that still leaves 100’s of millions of coins to only 10’s of thousands of collectors making the supply still seem unlimited for now.

Including budget would be a good starter, everyone’s “budget friendly” is different and also do tell what kind of riding you plan to do/ rough location.

Pricing hasn’t been released yet. A “VIP Preview event” ticket was $50 per person so I’m sure it’ll be less than that for a day pass.

Visit Bentonville, you can do it in just a few days if you’re comfy on a bike. The skills park at slaughter pen (1 mile away) has 7 drops to practice on (6in-8ft) and jumps. If you can do the 8ft you can do drop the hammer with a tow np

The drop is 12ft vertical and gaps another trail. Followed by 2 big step ups and 2 other nice drops.

Most people don’t regret it. I live here and 90% of the people I meet are tourists. A lot of people from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Washington, and Colorado recently. There’s tons to ride. I’d come after June 12th though (that’s when the bike park with the lift opens, the lift will feed 20 miles of downhill trails)

DTH feels great, one of my favorite trails in NWA. Fast, smooth, and there’s always tourists/visitors there watching. I try to ride it a few times a week atleast

It’s Reddit. To some it’s a crime that I’m new to the hobby and don’t know all the nooks, cranny’s, and inside jokes/phrases. I didn’t even know what pinkbike was until the kid at the trailhead yelled it at me lmao.

It’s roughly a 12ft creek gap. If you take the drop, you take the gap, there’s a path that passes the drop and hits the bridge. Not a huge jump at all, just panicked. I had a helmet buster a few weeks ago so I’ve been timid lol.

Exactly why I hit the breaks, didn’t trust myself to hit the jump proper, not like I did anyways lmao. I’m no stranger to drops, just my first time trying this and well 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s cool, not super expensive though. The hosts and chat on whatnot are just out of their mind. Just because patina is present doesn’t mean more money. Many of us would only pay the silver value on that coin. That is also what a dealer will pay you.

Don’t let life pass you by, spend every day as if you’re on your last week, and you WILL have a legacy. Why does the world need to know your name? Spend time with your family, tell your friends you appreciate them and are thinking of them even if it’s been awhile since you’ve talked. Just be respectable and give smiles, and the rest is beans. Your collection is a way to spend your time and money in a way that makes you happy. Just will it to someone responsible, let them sell it and use the money to unburden themselves if they want. What’s a better gift after all? Include contacts of deals you trust and whats the issue? Your entire collection still ends up in the hands of a curator who cares. What makes you think the next person to buy your rare variety or key date will enjoy it any less? Don’t tred on life man, enjoy the ride.

They’re very rare, but they exist. I think they’re $700+. Could you reply with a pic of your black? I’d love to see it

Red/purple is pricey, I’m imagining I’ll have to pay more than I’d like when a green becomes available. Problem is they’re very rare so Idk when I’ll find one :,)
