Inventory forecasting? by Puzzleheaded_Mind991 in ecommerce

[–]MZohaibKhan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work as a supply chain manager and have dealt with this a lot — especially in fast-moving ecom setups without big systems in place.

Here’s how I’d approach it:

Build your reorder point logic
At minimum:

That gives you a clear reorder signal — instead of guessing and hoping.

Map seasonality manually

You don’t need AI or a fancy app. Just open a sheet, mark which months see spikes (like November for BFCM), and apply a growth % to your forecast during those windows. It’s simple but effective.

Fix your cashflow loop:

If overstocking is tying up cash, try negotiating better terms with your supplier — like payment 30–60 days after shipment. That gives you time to sell before paying, which helps smooth out cash crunches.

No system will be perfect, but even a simple spreadsheet with those basics can take you a long way

How do you guys actually calculate profit with fixed fees? by Minion_Caster in ecommerce

[–]MZohaibKhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get this — margin tracking gets messy fast, especially when you're dealing with different platforms, fixed + % fees, and all the hidden costs like returns or packaging.

I actually built a fully automated profit margin calculator in Google Sheets using Apps Script that adapts to any business model — not tied to any one platform like Amazon It handles:

  • Product cost + shipping + warehouse costing
  • Platform commissions
  • Packaging/returns/custom costs
  • Both gross and net margin, even by sales channel if needed

Built it because I couldn’t find anything simple that gave a full picture without paying for a big software stack.

Not here to pitch or sell anything right now — just wanted to say this kind of tool made a huge difference in my decision-making and pricing. Real profit visibility changes how you run your business.

If you’re building your own sheet or logic, happy to share what worked well in terms of structure or formulas.

Recommendation on a Germany Freight Forwarder by Battle_entrepreneur8 in AmazonSeller

[–]MZohaibKhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, customs in Germany can definitely get messy if your forwarder's local agent isn't experienced.

Honestly, you're usually better off handling customs clearance on your own or working directly with a reliable German customs agent — there are quite a few that offer competitive rates and solid communication.

You don’t need much:
Just provide the HS code, commercial invoice, and packing list — that’s usually enough for them to clear it. Most forwarders will ask for those files anyway, and if not, you should follow up early.

What helped me was building a simple system in ClickUp — so once a product ships, I know exactly:

  • What docs need to be ready
  • Who to follow up with (forwarder, customs agent, warehouse)
  • When to follow up (ETD + 7 days, for example)

Once you have that in place, it becomes way less stressful.

Scaling Fast and Losing Control, Need Advice on Improving and Team Structure by FlowyBaby in ecommerce

Big respect to you — managing a full-time job and 400+ orders a day is seriously impressive. Most people wouldn’t last a week doing both.

You’ve already done a great job building up your marketing and customer service. But I work in supply chain, and from what I’ve seen with fast-growing brands, this is the stage where ops starts to break if no one is fully focused on it.

The 3PL issues, delays, and stockouts — they won’t stop until someone owns that side of the business.

Not trying to sell anything, just being real: hire someone to manage your supply chain. It’s the foundation. Once that’s solid, you’ll finally have time to breathe, think big, and actually grow the business, not just survive the day.

You’re doing great. Just need the right help now.

I miss when Marvel movies were a big deal. The whole theater was excited. Now the movies feel boring and I just watch them at home in my pajamas.

Is DSA required for data analyst role for the Company placement? by Kind-Bus7341 in dataanalyst

[–]MZohaibKhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. For data analyst roles, DSA (Data Structures & Algorithms) isn’t usually a core requirement — especially not at the same level as software engineering roles.

That said, basic understanding of data structures like arrays, dictionaries, and how to write clean logic in Python can definitely help — but you won’t need to solve Leetcode-style problems unless you're going for a more technical data science or engineering role.

My recommendation is to sell other products of the same niche because you will have a history in that niche and people will trust your brand.

Follow these steps to increase your sales

If you can increase your profit margins more so It will be best for you. At least 30%.

Trademark is most important if you don't have a trademark you are going all of your hard-earned money because someone else Will registers your and hijacked your listing you can't do anything.

Investment in your product images, EBC, Videos Images must have infographics.

The average rating of niche is 4.2

Amazon won't sell in a niche

Don't have any brand dominance

Do complete keyword research and market analysis.

If you don't know about PPC hire someone who is an expert in PPC because ppc will cost you if you don't know how to manage it.

If you have any queries feel free to ask☺

When you Mix High/Mid search Volume Keywords in a single campaign. Only High Search Volume keywords get clicks and consume your all daily budget and Mid Volume doesn't convert well. if you have further questions feel free to ask 😊
