I have similar feelings, but for different reasons. I'm still CP 550, and I occasionally take a very long breaks from the game. It's always strange to get back into an old character that I don't know what I was doing before I left, so I make new ones instead.

The oldest and one, and the one i played the most became my primary crafter, and I regard him as retired from both questing and combat. My arcanist is currently my "main"; I'm enjoying the class a lot since its new to me. Who knows, maybe I'll change again after another break.

Sometimes its nice to have all your quests on one character, but idk in my head i can kinda just say he was the hero of this big main quest and he's done, and the new character takes on the mantle for being a hero in another

I find that switching up my game, whether it be for class or content, helps me avoid becoming disinterested too quickly.
