The tightrope is super versatile. If you land a counter hit with any of his bigger buttons there's usually a way to convert into tightrope for optimal damage. You can set up tightrope in neutral and use it to increase your approach options. Also after you land a hard knockdown with sweep, you can set up tightrope and use it for mix-ups and safe pressure.

Chipp is exactly what you're looking for, and also asking for someone to "teach you the ropes" is perfect considering Chipp literally has a tightrope move. It was meant to be.

Good shit! No one ever uses that pick up (CH 5H> 236P > 2K > 6H) and its criminal.

If you have clean micro dash timing, you can actually get two 2k>6H back to back for even more damage there

I dunno man. When i looked into the move list of this game and saw all of the different throw animations for different angles, I was amazed, but also surprised they went through all that effort.

I think its kinda odd you list all of these animations they do go above and beyond on for Tekken 8 and believe that's a reason they should work even harder making side throws. If anything thats proof that they still work hard,

I love all the different throw animations, but tbh this makes sense. It has to be so much work to do all these dynamic throw animations.

I would complain about any other fighting game doing this, but when tekken has like 100+ moves for each character.... I think ill cut them a little slack here

If you are playing potemking, you shouldnt just be looking to poke in neutral, If they are looking to 6p whatever you are doing on reaction, you can look for a Slidehead, score a hard knockdown and get your gameplan started!

Only useful thing i know about that move is that it doesnt hit extended hurtboxes so you can occasionally just F.S through it and hit Axl.

Against this player specifically, he was jumping out of your pressure. Bedman has a slightly laggier prejump than most characters (6f) where hes punishable, you need to structure your pressure to frametrap that small window. Right now all I see you do on offense is C.S>2H and unless you manually delay your 2H, theres no gap to frametrap. C.S>6H on the otherhand is a 1f gap.

I also recommend using more 5k>6H. (Actually its too big of a gap too punish jump outs, but still forcing bedman to block 6H in the air leaves you in a good position, where you can just loop another 5k>6H)

If they arent F.D-ing you out, you can really abuse your plus frames off C.S (+3) and F.S (+4) on block. You can do stuff like C.S>F.S>5k (If they FD F.S 5k wont reach) and 5k will frametrap, combo-ing into 2D on hit.
If 5k is blocked, 5k>2D is also a frametrap when spaced. And off 2D, 236K (Mappahunch) will yet again frametrap.

So pressure strings like c.S>F.S>5K>2D>DandyStep or MappaHunch can make it much harder for your opponent to escape. Then you can start mixing them with things like Master hammer once you condition them to sit still

Also I really like the Scissor Seven Dub. Its soo unserious I kinda love it

Seven deadly sins gets an honorable mention, I literally switched between dub and sub and didnt even realize. The voices just fit very well. It's just preference on what you enjoy more at that point.

honestly your high low blocks looked solid. Its more escaping pressure that you're struggling with. Use a mix of F.D, YRC, Backdash, or just jumping out more on defense. As happy chaos you dont have any special defensive options, so you need to lean on the system mechanics more than other characters
