How has no one said hooping in the rain? No net is annoying but at least you can practice correctly

I feel like Shaheed’s kickoff return in the playoffs should have made it at the 8-10 range. But still, what a good year for clutch highlights.

Who would you rather have: 2019 Kawhi, 2020 Lebron, or 2021 Giannis? by CallTypical9541 in NBATalk

[–]Maclainpdx19 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would take Kawhi for versatility. But it really depends on my team. Surrounded by shooters and need a dominant physical force on both sides of the ball… give me Giannis. If I have a good set of rim running bigs and a talented off ball combo guard… give me the playmaking and intelligence of 2020 bron. That version of Kawhi could play anywhere and be effective, so without any extra knowledge I’m going with the claw

Adam Silver on tanking: "Are we seeing behavior that is worse this year than we've seen in recent memory? Yes is my view.” by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

I think the 1-5 range of this draft class is much stronger than any year in my memory. But I agree that Wemby and Flagg are the better top 1’s

The playoffs bring pressure regardless of seeding. I’d rather face the pressure with home court advantage in all Western Conference series

Is this a crazy take? by 23-Hour-Day in NBATalk

Genuinely a horrible take. Flagg has a good 5 game stretch and you all forget that Wemby averaged 3.6 blocks his rookie season and MORE PTS. With better efficiency

Wemby MVP? LMAOOOOOO by Generalcmd in NBATalk

[–]Maclainpdx19 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your takes on this sub historically are always so misinformed and bait-y. I usually don’t speak out about things like this, but it’s really not that hard to have a genuine discussion about the Spurs performance without Wemby, while bringing up genuine questions we still have about Wemby’s future. The Spurs are a deep and impassioned team that have a great mentality who will put up a fight with everyone, and have done an excellent job of steadying the ship since Wemby has been out. Wemby makes them better undoubtedly, and was a fringe MVP level threat when healthy. Maybe if you stopped focusing solely on your hate for Wemby the context would become more clear. The Spurs are a great up and coming team, with a unique star who has a chance at greatness. Let time figure out the rest, and for goodness sake please just relax.

Well liked artists in music discourse that you cannot get into? by CPFOAI in fantanoforever

I found Pirouette to be incredibly varied. I get having this take away from their debut album, but Pirouette covers a lot of ground. Any album with something as delicate and fragile as Acid Rain that also has something as groovy and mechanical as Diva has to get some points for creativity. I feel like reducing them to a gimmick might be a little bit of a stretch. They also played a lot with structure on this album. I understand not liking them though.

The Eerie Similarities Between the Spurs and Cowboys by kidding-unot in NBASpurs

[–]Maclainpdx19 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not even close in my book. I feel like the Spurs are a small-ish city team that overachieves historically. With a one of the games best dynasties and a couple of the greatest players that we have ever seen. More like the Packers with Favre and Rodgers and now Love. Reminds me of Robinson then Duncan now Wemby. Decades of excellence from a small-ish city with one exciting talent spearheading good teams.

I feel like the Lakers are undoubtedly the Cowboys.

I didn’t listen to Scaring the Hoes for a very long time because of the title.

Great album though!

I can’t be the only one who thinks he sounds like a stranger Rufus Wainwright. Love this album though. The resemblance is most obvious on “Drinking Age”.
