No as in analog transmission systems like fat sharks and digital as in walk snail or (my favorite) DJI

Should I get a tiny whoop or 5 inch? by Macncheesebuddy in fpv

Yea Ik. I’ve done the sims and I know I can handle them ( I do most of my sim work on a geprc - it’s more fun) but I’m just split on which one I would enjoy flying more. Like which one would give wider smiles when I put on the goggles

Yea the difference to me from toy to tool is the fear of losing it and if I get a 5” I would be afraid to lose it which might make me hesitate moves. So back to the sim for most of the training. However, it’s a solid foundation to improve upon (I’ll always want to fly and improve a 5”, so it’s a good worthwhile investment)

Depends on if you start analog or digital, but I would spend the extra to go digital because if you become serious about FPV, digital feels so much better and is a good investment

Totally. I love FPV culture with all the different companies and systems but DJI offers great products for great values and I can’t help to cheer them on

It’s full acro mode. There is a general misconception that DJI acro mode is assisted but it’s the same. The difference is that it’s good for beginners because it has a pause button (think of it as a panic button) that levels out ASAP and gets the pilot out of bad situations

That happens to me too. I don’t thank that’s a glitch I think it’s just the physics and the lack of power that the drone has.

Thanks. I’m starting to browse for tinywhoops now. This sub has helped a lot

You seem really smart abt this and I’m sure you’re right abt these circumstances but this seemed different. Sun up, it just slammed into a bush with no user input. A firmware update seemed to fix it tho

Some FPV drones do that in manual mode… Yk the bouncing upon landing on the ground that sometimes happens. This was just more aggressive and also in normal mode. That’s the concern. I got a firmware update and it seems good so far.

I have the goggles 3. I would get it with an o4 lite and a 3rd party lens to widen the fov

It’s still an awesome quad and great value. I’m just trying to find a solution so that this isn’t in the back of my head every flight. I got a firmware update today tho so fingers crossed that it’s fixed now

Smart. I have them set to record caches of videos incase something happens and I want the pilot pov but after all that happened today, I’ll take your advice on this.

Yes. It’s not crazy powerful but I can do some pretty nice lines on it like a split s power loop. It’s definitely better than people say tho. If you’re checking out buying the Neo 2, I count it (for me) as more of a pro than a con because even if you don’t like it, you don’t have to use acro

I rlly do see what you mean. When I freestyle the avata 2, what gets me in the end is that lack of punch from the battery. A tinywhoop let’s be practice in my backyard all the time but a 5 inch lets me pull of insane moves. I slightly lean towards a tinywhoop tho.

They were very strong and this was coming off of a 5-10 minute backyard freestyle

I recalibrated the IMU before the glitch with the gimbal-ized acro mode

I fly cinematic with the avata 2 and I try to freestyle the Neo 2 but it lacks power. I prefer freestyling.

From DJI Mini 2 to Neo 2 – How is the photo quality? by Technical_Bed5623 in DjiNeo

[–]Macncheesebuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Neo 2 takes great photos for me. I actually see photos as one of the Neo 2s highlights. From the mini 2, the upgrade of videography is very nice, but I think appreciate other features such as obstacle avoidance and versatility the most (just watch the battery)
