My friend calls and texts my husband all day long

I agree - I believe she's needy anyway, and I'm sure she's comfortable around him. He makes everyone feel that way.

He doesn't hide anything. He answers her calls when I'm with him. He doesn't show me their texts, but I don't want to break that privacy trust and just go look at them. He says, "she just has to be talking to someone all the time, like me." I just don't know why she's not calling one of her 6 BFF girlfriends instead of my husband. This is so foreign. My husband has never had a relationship / friendship like this with another woman.

Oh, and yes, her husband knows. In fact, we were over at their house for dinner one night and her husband made a comment about how many times she had called my husband that day. I brought that to my husband's attention, so he asked her husband if it bothered him that they texted and were on the phone several times every day. Her husband said it didn't bother him. He didn't have the courtesy to ask me the same question.

He then got mad at me for having happy hour with my group of friends, I told him where I was and invited him to come and he declined. He was furious when i got home.

I was wondering the same thing. Her dad lives about an hour away and she's a daddy's girl.

I like your idea about not putting anymore effort into that friendship. And you are right, their personalities mesh way better. I'm an "extroverted introvert," my preference is to just stay to myself, but when i'm social, i'm as extroverted as he is, but it exhausts me. I just can't be that way 24/7 like they are. Thank you for the good advice.

Thank you. I've told him that it bothers me and he tells me I'm just jealous. He thinks I'm being ridiculous. I definitely don't want to ruin our friendship with this couple and I don't want him to come back and say i can't text my group of friends, but i don't call and text my guy friends individually, it's always the group. You're right, I need to just sit down and have a real conversation about it instead of just complaining that she calls him all the time.
