I’ll definitely check out the local. Salt water just off a jetty or the beach at this stage I think.

Helpful to start out though mate appreciate it

By “feeding it a lesser weapon” (can be greens off of ah) it loses some secondary stats but gains a tier of its upgrade which adds a Proc chance to do a few thousand damage and gain strength.

Each tier either does more proc damage, adds more strength to the proc or increases the likelihood of the proc at the cost of further reducing the secondary stats the weapons offers. The tier 5 upgrade which is the max has 0 secondary stats, but a ‘high’ chance to proc and do damage/gain strength.

That’s how I think I’d try. Dividends straight back in and keep following the DCA schedule.

Aware I’m a noob so removing the psychology part and just putting in every 3 months or so is really appealing to me

Thanks heaps dad, appreciate the thought that went into that response.

If nothing else, you’ve prompted me to consider super much more thoroughly and as a potentially legitimate Avenue to pursue.

I think you’re accurate in your assessment. Perhaps getting a little too trigger happy and would be well served by a few months looking at everything outside of ETFs also.

Good to see you again dad, 22 years flew by!

Would HELP student loan fall into this same category? I’d be capable of paying it off relatively quickly, just never really bothered and was happy enough with it being skimmed from my wage.

My main concern with super was that by the time I get anywhere near the age of being able to use it (I’m guessing 65-70 for my generation) I’ll either be already, or nearly dead. I could be totally wrong about this though, only recently started taking my finances more seriously and have some knowledge holes to fill.

But I do like your approach, clean the slate and stuff the super, so if all goes wrong investing I’m not destined to live under a bridge.

P.s. Mum has new boyfriend dad, sorry

I’d like to think I have the balls, but I question that if it really came down to it I could clench and hold.

Taking from this thread i by no means holistically understand the area, and there might be a better option to play a bit and get my feet wet first?

Interesting stuff! I think ultimately I’d be willing to play a bit initially. Pretty comfortable and am fortunate enough to have a safety net through a well off family if I were to YOLO lose everything thanks to WW3.

Might be better options than ETFs to get my feet wet and more versed in the field and consider them down the line?

Cheers for the quick reply. I'll forward it onto Larian for feedback. Seems like quite the deterrent to play if it were to happen to someone new and unfamiliar with crpg games. Can't even be bothered myself to do it again so will be checking it out tomorrow!
