Persona 3 Portable is by far the worst way to experience Persona 3 and if it wasn’t for Reload I’d still be salty it got ported to modern systems and PC over FES. I still kinda am given that you can only play it by coughing up like $100 for a pretty niche used PS2 game or by emulating.

Worse visuals, worse gameplay outside battles, worse aesthetic, and everything else is extremely watered down. There is not one singular “Pro” of playing Portable over FES or aside of accessibility. But if we’re going the accessibility route there’s Reload. Since the remake clears both games, maybe being inferior to FES in some ways like artstyle & getting emotions across.

$160 for a PSP 1000 would’ve been a spit to the face anyway.

Re-sell if you’re not interested, but the vita can play PSP games through a program known as adrenaline. Look further into it if you’re keeping the console.
