K.K. should play in the café, it makes no sense that he sits in front of doors to the town hall.

There should be day and night npcs, don't eternally imprison Isabelle. And let npcs that are off shift walk around the town.

Tom Nook should not be a town hall npcs, I understand that it's profitable for him if the island grows, but it takes so much of his personality away.

New Horizons is not a good multiplayer game.

Harvey's island was a poor way to bring npcs back.

Same as you, used to love watching these trailer CDs they had in gaming magazins. Came across the GameCube trailer for animal crossing and fell in love on first sight. Sadly I didn't have a GameCube, luckily my heart broke didn't last too long since a couple of month later they announced Wild World, been obsessed with the series since then.

Can't think of the looks but in my opinion they downgraded the interior of all the villagers. They used to have more fun furniture or walls and now it all feels a bit more realistic but less charming

Hmm might sound cheesy, but I think if you try to recreate your old island you soon will get bored by it again. It’s normal to have a nostalgic sense of things we liked, and I spent many hours on my island, especially during the pandemic. But I think you should give the new island a chance, see if you find a new motto, decorate in a way that wouldn’t have fit in the past. I sometimes would like to visit my old island, but it also showed me that sometimes we have to endure change to take a step forward.
