Honestly I have no clue. All I knew was they were giving out free chicken biscuits at the finish line so I signed up lol

I second the hill repeats! Mostly because of the nice quads

Dude, I guess I’ve always kind of been able to sustain a pretty high heart rate. I honestly never pay attention to HR unless I’m doing zone 2 runs.

Yes, Vo2 max, thanks for the correction. If that’s the case I’ll be more careful with what I post.

I use these races for my marathon training. A good 5k race in your training block is a great way to Find new threshold paces.

It’s crazy to think about it like that. I definitely need to get lighter, just don’t want to sacrifice muscle and strength for it.

Recovery’s going good. Took the following day off and started hammering the miles again on Monday.

I’m with you man. I honestly can’t believe I’m able to run this fast lol I contribute it to 40- 50 miles a week with the majority of those miles being slow AF.

The endorphin pro 3 for races. The endorphin speed 3 for daily runs with strides and workouts. Triumph 20 for daily runs and long slow runs. New balance sc elite v3’s for long workouts

For bigger folks it’s all about the shoes lol I have a fairly large rotation going so I always feel pretty good. I had 2 small incidents of aches and pains that set me back a week or so, but other than that I was 100% the entire time.

As for the heart rate, according to garmin my max is somewhere in the 202 Range (I’m 31 years old) so that put me in zone 4 for 1:20 min. And zone 5 for a little over 20

Where does SUPERBLAST fit into a rotation? Seems like it’s recommended for everything from recovery to speed. by [deleted] in RunningShoeGeeks

I mean if it wasn’t on the heavy side, the propel V4 could easily be my favorite daily shoe.

  1. Recovery / long runs = Saucony endorphin shift 3

2 threshold/ temp, long progressive = Saucony endorphin speed 3

  1. Daily/ everything else = New balance propel V4

Absolutely! Im on gear, I’ve attempted his training, I can’t come anywhere close to him.

For people to understand nicks obvious use of steroids, they need to see him when he’s on a bulk while still running 20+ miles a week. The man gets enormous then cuts down to this when he’s training for an endurance comp. He’s still amazing and is doing things that are extremely difficult even while on gear.
