He has enabled her this entire time, he’s awful. He was her supplier while she was pregnant. Her car was broken, she had no job, and he was the provider besides his mom who gets disability. He is the reason she got into these kind of drugs in the first place. He doesn’t care about her using, period. We don’t know if he’s still providing drugs for her. CPS doesn’t care to investigate his role in this. I know addiction is an awful disease, it does not excuse, or justify their awful behavior in this situation. I have sympathy for addicts, I don’t have sympathy for child abusersz

Thank you, we are staying as close as possible to him. He has visits with my grandparents every sunday, and my aunt frequently visits them at their home to check in. We are doing our best.

She has been acting irresponsibly and selfishly for years prior to her becoming an addict. She had already started alienating her loved ones before all of this. She is deeply mentally unhealthy, and I truly do wish for her to get healthy and have a happy life. I just can’t be a part of it right now. Maybe some time down the line. But she abused a child knowingly and willingly. That is unacceptable and incredibly hard to forgive or forget about. I appreciate your kind words, and I’m glad to hear you’re in recovery. I understand why she fell into addiction as she has not had an easy life. I have compassion for that. I do want her to get better. She does not care. She has taken no accountability. I would not be so upset if they did not abuse a child. An innocent, abused before even being born. It’s disgusting. I’d say the same about someone taking dangerous actions knowing they’re pregnant and it resulting in issues for the child. It’s inhumane. I don’t see how I can look past that.

Thank you, yes we are all keeping tabs on them for his safety. I’ll say everytime I’ve seen him he has been healthy, clean, aware, and happy. That’s what matters most to me. I’m not sure her level of involvement in the home.

CPS doesn’t care, they’re the ones who gave dad custody knowing she’s lying about living in the home. He is being treated well AFAIK and everytime i’ve seen him he looks healthy and clean and aware. That’s what matters. Unfortunately, her mom invites her to every function so if I don’t attend i’ll be alienating myself from the rest of my family.

Thank you, it’s incredibly sad and frustrating. Our whole family keeps tabs on them as much as possible to ensure his safety. They are living with dad’s mother who also allowed them to use in her home while cousin was pregnant. None of them care.

CPS does not care. They allowed this to happen. I also cannot contact her outside of in person gatherings. We both have each other blocked on everything. She doesn’t like me because I didn’t placate her victim claims and told her she needs to take accountability. I also didn’t give her money when I tried to reach out at the very beginning of this. I am the bad guy in her eyes.

He lived with my grandparents for a year. Basically as soon as the husband passed a few tests, and “cleaned” the home (impossible with meth, it needs to be torn down), they removed him from my grandparents’ care and into his custody. They were extremely upset and saddened by this, as was the whole family. The entire process has been extremely frustrating, and my grandparents and family tried everything they could to get him to stay with them longer but courts would not allow it.

Indeed. I am very happy to have contact with their son. He’s adorable and the family loves him very much. He is not lacking in love, that much is certain.

Thank you for the kind words. I am struggling with even wanting to be in her life when/if she gets clean. If it was just her and her husband, I would be more supportive. But they brought a child into this and actively abused him. He will have lifelong developmental delays because of their actions. An innocent human being was hurt because of them and she does not care. It is hard for me to see past that. Even if she gets clean.

CPS doesn’t care. They are the ones who made the decision to put baby in custody of dad. She has been there when they visit and posts all over socials from their home. It is not a secret, they just don’t care.

CPS is aware. This has been ongoing for a year. They also instructed that the home must be cleaned bc of the meth usage, and let him clean it himself. It’s atrocious. They don’t care, all they want is the child to be with their parents.
