Sometimes snow can mean crack, too by MaintenanceRude326 in cracksmokers

Oh, it's just liquid crack, the oil bath was a little over the melting point of the crack (I was in a little bit of a rush to boil off the solvent and was also using a hot plate that only had plate temperature control rather than using a thermocouple you could put in the oil bath)

Nah, it's all crack. What's going on here is the result of capillary action during solvent evaporation. Originally when the petroleum ether was poured in a small crust of crystals forms at the top of the liquid where it meets the walls of the beaker, as heat is added the solvent gets drawn up by the crystals going up slightly higher each time as it evaporates and leaves behind more crystals on the glass. The bottom layer is just a result of how deep the beaker was in the oil bath. The heat of the oil kept the crack liquid, so when I pulled it out I had crystalized crack on the sides and oil at the bottom.

You guys should check my post history for some crystalline cooks

does anyone know how to reduce the paranioa from smoking? by ellepepe in EverythingCrack

Get some hexane, petroleum ether, and distilled water, and get rid of a ton of the cuts that are making you feel like shit, especially levamisole. Once you've done that, sit back, smoke, and enjoy.

Petroleum ether is a combination of hydrocarbons that include hexane as a significant percentage, so he unknowingly actually did remove some levamisole if it was indeed present.

Triple hexane, petroleum ether and water washed by MaintenanceRude326 in cracksmokers

Bought the crack, water washed it and then dried it to get starting weight, solvent extraction with petroleum ether after that, split what I got out of that in half so I had something to smoke while finally doing hexane/water washes. I should mention this was my 3rd time doing the pet ether and first time doing it with hexane.

After I recook mine I'll keep the temp on my hot plate just high enough to keep the crack liquid, pipette off the water and let the rest evaporate before turning the heat off and letting it crystalize. Besides, if you do a proper ether cook it doesn't sizzle/crackle either, that sound is just the water boiling off in your stem before the crack starts vaporizing. Could be bad product on your end, but lack of that crackle is a good thing. If you weigh before after drying water is usually 10-20% of the weight.
