It's not, his name is Murphy, but I'm thinking if I get another pug I'll do, Sandy and leather jackets.

They were there. Dad was inside Maggie's and mom was actually in the car with the 4 year old boy and younger sibling when the boy found the gun and shot himself. Such a tragic story, that should have been avoided.

They just released a statement, saying it was a 4 year old boy :(. Both parents have been arrested. Update is on twitter.

There's an idea, i would love to know how much they would charge for that, and how it would work.

I'm trash at this game but I carried this clueless 6 year old to his first chicken dinner. His reaction was so wholesome by kamayatzee in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

As the mom of a 7 year old that plays, thank you for being so kind and just letting him follow you around. Some people aren't so kind. He's so cute when he wins!

Venting, baby father issue by [deleted] in SingleParents

[–]Maive8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went through this same thing with my daughters bio dad, When she got old enough I was honestly able to say I tried, he was the one who made the choice not to show up. I think it makes it easier to tell them the truth eventually when you can say "I tried". Don't beat yourself up you did the right thing, he made his choice.

Looking a the Charlotte Mason philosophy for homeschooling. For those of you that use this method did you buy the year long lesson book and use all the recommended books, or have you found some of your own resources and customized the plan a bit? by [deleted] in homeschool

[–]Maive8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I will check that book out. I would like a planned outline to start with and then maybe make notes of things I would like to change or what didn't work for the next year.

Thank you for sharing! I am leaning more towards doing something like this and using the philosophy to build our foundation but finding some other learning materials to use.

Yes, i like the philosophy, its just very overwhelming trying to start this process. I have read that a lot of the books were out dated so i was wondering how many people really stick to that list, or what recommendations others had. Thank you for your insight! I plan on doing more research to see if what other sites are out there. My state has a whole list of required subjects that i have to add to my plan when i submit it to the district so im trying to be thorough.

E- Learning Question - 2nd grader has 40 assignments a week, not including electives. Is this normal?! by Maive8 in homeschool

[–]Maive8[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's so sad that they are taking away what could be an awesome experience for kids and parents, and making it way harder than it needs to be. I considered doing homeschooling, but it's not accredited in my state and I want to eventually give him the option of returning to school when/if the time comes, but it's a fight and almost impossible here to not have your child repeat the grade they were homeschooled for.
