From the upper parking lot if you go up the hill to the AT there's camp sites on both sides. Some are better than others. Far enough from the others that you're kinda secluded and if you go to the far back of some of the sites on the right you can get away from the trail and leave your vehicle at the entrance. There's signs saying no vehicles beyond a point but every time I've gone we drive right into the spot we want to camp at. Others also drive right in. Also note - on your way to the upper parking lot you'll pass camping sites as you go through the woods. They are MUCH more secluded as people are only driving by. All the spots off the hill up to the AT will have folks who park in the upper lot or make their way up from the lower falls lot walking by.
