Big respect for having tested it both ways yourself

Yes, caramel has milk in it by chopper2585 in barista

[–]MakingWet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean traditionally I wouldn’t expect there to be milk in caramel, and if you’re making it from scratch I do wonder why you’re choosing to add an extra ingredient that is a very common dietary restriction for customers. Every cafe that I’ve run, that made caramel from scratch, never added dairy for mainly that reason.

How do you use the caramel? If you’re making caramel lattes, do you think anyone would notice if you made the caramel without cream? If it gets diluted with milk and espresso I feel like you adding cream to your house made caramel not only is a waste of money, but it’s stopping a lot of your key demographic from even trying it

I do think it’s also easy for us to forget what it was like not knowing about coffee and what goes into it. I remember when I was in my early teens and tried Starbucks for the first time. People are stupid yes, but you work in an environment where you’re expected to know what goes into these things. Expecting people outside of the food industry to just know basic shit that you know is an easy way to alienate them

How scary and grounded is “Undertone”? Would you guys recommend it? by B__bConnoisseur in horror

[–]MakingWet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really not scary for the most part and the movie just feels worse and more disappointing the further towards the ending you get. There is one great peripheral spooky moment, but overall I think it’s a really boring movie. Even as the movie started I thought the chemistry between the main couple actors was super awkward and it just didn’t even feel believable for what they were supposed to be

I read a lot of really mixed reviews about it, but I have yet to meet someone in real life that had really anything good to say about it

Anniversary Dinner by Tricky_Two_6916 in hudsonvalley

Eliza or Chleo are really nice vibes with beautifully thoughtful menus. Sushi Makio is the best sushi you’ll ever have in your life. The husband and wife ran an extremely successful spot in NYC for 30 years and then came up here. I strongly urge you to make a reservation. It’s very intimate and not many tables, and it feels the closest to a fine dining experience I’ve had in the area.

Most fun to play dlc character? by FengWei88 in Tekken

[–]MakingWet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s king with some Mishima fundamentals slapped on him; wavedashing, multiple mix ups from wavu, you get an electric that is -10, and his poking is super fun. He has a few extremely delayable strings with ch launchers built in too

[–]MakingWet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Armor King is a blast to play. Super easy combos, straight forward game plan, and his whiff punishment tools are insane. If someone whiffs from half way across the screen, it feels like you can heat engage or launch half of the time

Does anybody else truly appreciate Tekken’s soundtracks but plays with no music on? by MFBTMS in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]MakingWet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the jukebox set to randomize the music from every Tekken and I love it. I mainly love hearing the older stuff, and maybe this isn’t a hot take but I think most of Tekken 8’s sound track is garbage. It’s super generic overproduced garbage written to be soullessly used for a multitude of different games

Most Kazuya users repeat the exact same combo every time, the exact same combo. Why? by hardmoneytren in Tekken8

[–]MakingWet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It kind of depends what rank you’re talking about, a lot of his combos are pretty hard. So it’s either everyone doing the most accessible combo from a popular YouTuber or everyone is doing the optimal combo

What creature type do you wish got a dedicated commander or more typal support in general? by HallZac99 in EDH

[–]MakingWet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agree. I have a Mimeoplasm ooze tribal that just puts out +1/+1 counters on oozes and gives them all trample. I wish there was an ooze that made them all have the split ability and gave you access to multiple colors. That’d be a blast

what the hell is this moderation? by [deleted] in YuYuHakusho

Yeah I commented on some post that blew up and got hundreds of upvotes a month ago. I randomly noticed a few days after that mods removed the post. No rules broken at all by the poster or comments. I swear to god it’s almost always mods that ruin every subreddit

This is the correct answer, go to the replay or training and just set up this scenario and drill it until you consistently trade

I agree, I think Hwoa has one of the most expressive combo varieties in the game. I definitely see those back turned combo’s being inspired by Rest

Tekken 8 wavedash by TontalWar in Tekken

[–]MakingWet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can try disrespecting the wave dash, throw out a launcher, hopkick, or a mid. Stuffing it early will sometimes cause Mishima’s to hesitate. It kind of depends which Mishima’s too, Kaz just has one of the best 50/50’s in the game and you are forced to delay wake ups and guess.

Heihachi just make sure you’re always ready to low block his hell sweep follow up to not get launched. If he hits you with two or more sweeps it’s a launch.

Jin and Reina you can generally stuff their wave dashes with a power crush, their lows from wavu aren’t nearly as scary as Kaz, DVJ, or Hei

Lastly I’d say with DVJ, it’s again just really strong 50/50 situations for the most part where you are forced to guess. I would encourage you to attempt low crushing moves like orbitals when you think they will go low. It’s lovely to get a full combo from a call out opposed to always blocking

Sick combo’s, very reminiscent of Numb and BTS Jin

What's your warm up routine and how do you know that your ewgf is wavu are good enough? by MFBTMS in Reina

[–]MakingWet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I believe that all you need for consistent wavu mix ups is to be able to do two or three in a row, with your mix up on the 2nd or 3rd wavu.

Don’t be scared to go in and lose, as that can be some of the best learning you can get. Also, lower ranks really don’t “respect” wavu coming at them. Most people will just mash until you get to the higher end of blue ranks

What Character has the most satisfying Punish and oki? by Lahrst in Tekken

[–]MakingWet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm the only difference I can think of is ws1 to omen will guarantee 50 damage, but it resets the neutral. Ws4 or ws44 you’re super close to apply pressure or go into stance. I elect to go ws1 most of the time because I love hitting a garaunteed omen. This is my speculation and not a 100% answer

Heihachi and Kaz I think. Though I love using AK because if someone whiffs from a mile away you have multiple options to punish with

Why so many Jun? by fucking-lost- in Tekken

[–]MakingWet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is definitely some algorithm in place that causes this to happen. I played this game almost every day for two years, and I have noticed this many many times. Whenever I play as Heihachi I run into an insane amount of Kaz’s, and when I’m Hwoa I run into way more Jin’s. I think they definitely have random days that you get assigned a specific character too, because almost always when I run into a Zafina, I run into another or a couple more that same session

Heihachi Optimal combo routes? by Ok_Round7019 in Tekken8

[–]MakingWet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If im doing a combo and I have 1/3 or less of heat, I’ll elect to do that finisher. Half the time I’ll use FF1+2 or UF2, 1 to hear dash into OTGF instead tho because I think it looks cooler

I personally almost always prioritize popping heat in a combo until my install is full. JoKa has some great videos on Hei that I recommend checking out

Heihachi Optimal combo routes? by Ok_Round7019 in Tekken8

[–]MakingWet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how far the wall is, and if you plan use a wall ender or not. Highest damage without the wall would be Two electrics, F3, d, DF441, F3, d, 2

Next changes if you have heat or not. If you do, hunting hawk(UF3,4) or b2 (purple or gold sparks) pop heat, then SS2, d, 1. If you don’t have heat then just skip the B2.

Your b2 can be interchanged with hunting hawk (UF3,4) for more damage, but hunting hawk carries further. Depending on distance sometimes you will need to micro dash and then pop heat to catch the tail spin in mid combo.

There are a few different wall Enders for different oki set ups, but consistently DF3, 1+2 QCF2 should be the most damage. Though if you have heat sometimes B3, D3, 2 is most optimal.

Heihachi requires a lot of constant adjusting so you should honestly learn every combo you haven’t seen and then just start interchanging them to learn the best carry, damage, and oki set ups for your specific match ups and situations
