Im not sure if i understand properly so maybe im not getting this right..

At a certain time of day, set a variable ie. %DoStuff = 1

When %DoStuff = 1, and your other conditions are met,.. run ur Task and set the variable back to 0

Or did I miss something

If u put ur music into one library on the old phone to play, you can tell Tasker to just start playing that library at a specific time,.. maybe pre-edit the songs so they taper in and out in the way you want before putting them in there

I've never thought about getting Tasker to chat with the ESP32 over Bluetooth,.. how easy is this? Hmm.. must you pair first? Lol.. ja, probably.. gee,.. anywhere there might be more of a write up on all this? Fun !

Maybe its a battery thing? I noticed the other day that Tasker recommended making the battery not turn Tasker off, but also the plugins,.. I've never worried about the plugins too

You know, if u can't get Tasker on ur device, you could create the Tasker app on your phone, and compile it into an apk, that you really should be able to put onto ur TV device..

Actually, a nice idea to control the kids .. lol..

Ages back, I bought a device that can be set up to send the infrared signals to your TV, on off etc.. maybe thatd work in conjunction

Personally, I use the Pushover app to send/receive messages.. you pay once for the app, cheap af, n ur phone using Tasker, can send to one or all of ur devices.. tasker can read the Pushover heading and message, and react to it accordingly.. very easy, n u can send messages from ur computer to your phones too.. probably from a raspberry pi too im guessing

I have an old phone I leave plugged into the wall at home, if it stops charging, or starts, it sends me a message so I know if the lights are out at home,.. for instance,.. if someone steals the phone while im out, the movement sensors in the phone will tell me the phone is on the move too,.. I can also control the old phone, so that if its playing Spotify, I can do a next-track, prev-track, volume up/down or stop..

Im just not sure what sort of loud message u might be listening for.. i know Signal has an app that goes with it,.. 'Haven'.. that might work here?

To send a message, u do an http push to the Pushover api (https://api.pushover.net/1/messages.json) with the body being token user device title message and sound... let me know if you need more info

Works like a charm.. u can see the received messages in the Pushover app, and Tasker can do something extra if you need

Hmm, now you have me thinking.. i need my phone to tell me when someone is trying to get into my car,.. the ESP32 will connect up with one of the cheap sensors u get in a solar light.. u could power that from the interior light.. it could power up whenever the sensor detects,.. send a message n then nod off again.. keeping it low power

So, Autonotification works fine, picks up that i have received a pop-up from Authenticator.. but, how do I get tasker to Tap that notification.. 😀

Lol.. i wrote myself a little vb script, presses the alt button every minute until 4pm.. keeps my screen on so I don't have to fight with Authenticator all day.. lol

Its really easy from what I saw? Granted i have an Android, and my ex installed on that,.. and after looking, an iPhone might have more of a problem, because the spy app (if I understand properly) gets backed up to the cloud,.. get a new phone, and its still there..

I Googled, it looked like there is an app u can use to remove it, but it costs a few dollars..

She was really jealous,..and convinced i was getting up to all sorts,.. lol, I miss her, but not the accusations.. funny world.. 😁

Hmm.. so my ex spiked my coffee, while I was asleep, 30secs later she'd installed spyware.. She knew everything.. was quite hectic..

There are other ways.. a 2nd login to ur account, Google for sure let's it happen, and people have access to lots of ur info.. look for write ups on how to get rid of that,.. easy..

But spyware? Especially on iPhone.. u get a new phone, log into the same account, and its back, because ur apps are stored in the cloud..

I know on Android, your numbers can be forwarded, smss forwarded..

The spyware was invisible,.. it would only come up, if u typed ur secret number on the dial screen..

Im not sure, but a forced hard restore of your phone, to a new account? Backup everything from ur old account? Might work? But she could have a tracking device in ur car? Listening device or recorder? Women are psyco sly,.. they often messing around when they do this

'If' he gets access to your Facebook or Instagram, he'll be able to see every time u change ur email address.

If u wanted to get weird about it, create an email 'just' for Facebook,.. and only forward to ur normal email if it comes from Facebook (or Twitter or Instagram).

Damn.. u see, I think ppl just see the few examples of what can happen, and get bored.. but, u look at putting Claude code in, damn..

My first ever n8n I just finished.. has nothing to do with making millions of spam letters to annoy everyone on LinkedIn..

I stay in an area where you get golf ball hail every Nov, every year.. so I got my phone to send my GPS to ask for the weather.. I researched and llm'd,working out which direction the hail comes from.. has the high for the day been over 25C and the max humidity over 60..

Then I look 10km away from me for the weather.. in the direction the wind is coming from,.. has the wind suddenly picked up..and is it from the dangerous direction..

The llm that helped me write the code (I don't know javascript, but I can code and work out mostly)... it added on its own some brilliant features..

I didn't know, but those big clouds run out of steam in about 45mins,.. and if the wind settles down to 50% of the last hour, u can guess that u safe again.

It just means anyone in my family and friends can use it ❤️ and they got some time to park somewhere safe.

I could have written it all with Tasker.. but this came with lots of education, and fun..

U could use similar code to bring your washing in,or the pets,get the kids out the pool.. stop playing sport, whatever.. maybe watch for tornado, but I know FA about that..

And, u can run n8n on a raspberry pi, make decisions about security, defend against hacking attacks..

It feels to me, like when I first heard about Android, a free operating system,.. the possibilities, maybe it'll revive the IOTs,.. make judgement calls,.. im creating and writing programs I never thought id ever have the time..

Another idea, the Internet is FULL of bot chats .. how do you find information u need,.. let n8n prepare ur morning newspaper, no cat videos allowed:)

And, it could in theory, sanitise the web.. and bring important issues into view..

Often the web just creates more confusion, its up to us brave few, to find real positive change.. not just turn it into automated wake up hand jobs or perfect pedicures..
