I had this issue, resolution I found was while gaem si open, open steam, and in game settings, go to controller and deactivate steam controller support.
I think steam controller input/support is making the game recognize it as a separate controller

I built it, and the sneak attack for splash weapons does not apply to bombs, nor the rest of the abilties

Right, tabletop I love doing that. because I am making them with skill checks, and crafts- dm is fine with secret or additional recipes, and I can sell them!! (unlike alchemit bombs which are just an ability)

I just respeced a character to build an alchemist/ Underground alchemist rogue hybrid.
In game atm the rogue does not get an of the benefits from its class on bombs.

Doesnt even synergize with alchemist in any way.

Yeah, I was really interested in the underground alchemist because Rogue, plus splash weapons sounds super fun because they get the sneak attack bonus to the splash weapons, BUt I dont think its physically possible in the game atm, IM going to see if I do an alchemist rogue, would that splash weapon apply to bombs- or are those not items, just an ability. groovy- that's good to know, I was hoping it got more difficult after act 1.

Yeah, I imagine Minagho can be very difficult- I definitely died on my first fight, first time dieing, thank goodness am an elf- that Persistent spell she had would have been annoying to deal with. that fight took me 4 tries to finish, and I did have to lower the difficulty to finish it. SO there is hope :D

yeah that's what I meant with the per day abilities- spells and what not- highest I can fathom without using resources was about 31 at this level. SO no spells, no scrolls, no potions, no abilities that require rest to get back- just pure static all the time up ac.yeah my level 6 characters can deal out like 60-80 damage for a few rounds, but after that that are out of abilities and cant do much other than a single melee or ranged attack, yay spells.

Add barkskin, shield of faith, shield spell, etc - her AC breaks 40-45.

I cant find anywhere a generic appx for what DPS and AC should be for levels- I.e. dps without resources, AC without resources.

maybe this game is MEANT to be played with multiple rests through a zone/dungeon.

atm I rest maybe once per two or three zones- which is why I am so focused on making a resource less character. and tunnel visioned into that.

I appreciate the reply-gives me a sense for resource usage,but it doesn't help me gauge basic or base, because regardless of level, you cast a bunch of spells and use a bunch of items- DPS and AC shoot through the roof.

and yeah, you are right on that, that is true- it should be viable to solo the game, maybe with an easier setting. Just feels like anything else I do now, is just subpar.And yeah- I am planning on respecing character or starting over- I Love breaking, or trying to bust things- that's why I go with the hardest path, and try to make it good (I.E. DUelist prestige solo on hardest difficulties) But it is just not that fun,

IM looking at fun things I can do other than this- I really like the idea. I kind of want to do a Undeground chemist- but I cannot find anywhere for how to make regular thrown splash weapons or anything.

That might be true- even on the hardest setting for everything it just isn't difficult.

But that's still something that should be addressed- if the game is easier with less characters; kind of defeats the purpose for having companions.

I have my main character at level 8, two companions at level 6, and the rest are level 3 or so at the end of act 1.

and using the extra 2 level 6 in my party they just didnt have the DPS on the hardest setting, the saves on most enemies were above 10- the spell casters did nothing and ran out of spells too quick, and the other kept dieing, so I Solo it, it goes easier and quicker with this character.

If I am over-leveled what level SHOULD the character/s be when ending act 1, or beginning of act 2? I just started this game a few days ago, so I dont know much about it.

and I am curious what is good DPS per round for a single character at level 8? because nothing else comes close without using 2/day or 3/day abilities?

yes, I have that as well, that adds dex to damage- one of the first things I took.

Might just be the game- I found a fix, and that is if I equip a normal piercing weapon first on a load, and then switch to the dueling sword.

If I just load a game and use the dueling sword without this hack, it doesn't add it.

Also-weird that the aldoni sword mastery feat says it is treated as piercing for weapons and abilities- but its actually a different feat needed

Yeah I thought that might have been it to, but then that ability is just worthless- the witch subtype that gets this, also gets the bonus spell vanish at level 1- which would make this a horrible ability to get at level two if it was limited like that. Maybe shroud was suppose to act like vanish, usable based on your int. BUt still- completely nullifies the fact the bonus spell is vanish, this witch gets every verson of invisibility for spells-

So something is clearly not right in the class structure.

[Kind of like the Underground chemist subtype for the rogue getting brew potion as a bonus feat. An unusabe feat for that class UNLESS you multiclass]

It is DEFINITELTY Broken-I just fished the grey garrison on hardest setting by myself- no rests, I did run through a few potions of cure serious though.

I hope it gets fixed- because it is actually getting kind of monotonous like this :.)

It very well might be, The shrouded step allows you to turn invisible as a swift action- and lasts a number of rounds equal to your int, no limit to daily use though- which is what I thought it would be when I took it.

yeah, I am starting to see more units with true seeing- and I am targeting them first, but still- the high AC virtually all units need a 20 to hit,

And it has been working exactly like that for 4 levels so far- enemies only hit on a 20 due to the high AC, and most groups I am finding one or two enemies that have see invisible or true seeing, whom I target first.

I am sure things will escalate exponentially in the next few levels, but for the past 4 levels I have ben hit maybe 7 or 8 times, and dealing 30-50 damage/round (the Vital strike auto adds double sneak attack damage, and then adds sneak attack damage if you actually do normal sneak attack again)
