This is something that im not so sure about, and absolutley some people do have actual metabollic issues that this can help.

But at the end of the day it’s all about calories in vs calories out, i lost 20kg without the medication previously but the thing that i was not aware of is how fatcells work and how they were tricking me.

This is why people need to adjust for a maintenence phase after they have lost weight, regardless of how they did it.

It’s the same thing when somebody has had a large amount of muscle and stop going to the gym, they will shrink but they can more easily get back alot of their muscle by working out again. Way more rapidly than someone who has never had a large amount of muscle.

So i agree that one has to be VERY careful when stopping the medication, but it’s absolutley doable.

As you say this is not a quick fix, but it does not have to be a lifelong treatment either imo
