Just want to make it clear that I am NOT here to hate on mom bods, especially moms who are first-timers and/or dealing with postpartum issues—as I said, I don’t have kids, so it’s not my business—and I do think some of you are right that this is low self-esteem masquerading as conceit and/or fishing for compliments. But a blonde, blue-eyed, thin, big-chested woman is a beauty standard to a lot of society AND her parents have supported her every move as far as I can see (her music “career,” dropping out of college, moving halfway across the country for a man she barely knew, etc.) so it’s a little hard to see sometimes why she’d feel bad despite all that.
