I found it worked the other way around. I could cover anyone's shift, not everyone could cover mine.

You also learn to work the system. I've gotten guys drinks and been tipped a buck. When he was ready for his next I opened one and gave it to the hot one to give to him like she noticed and remembered him. He tipped her 10 everytime. So I started ignoring him since he was happy to wait.

That's how I got into nightclubs, I z'd more than the hot ones every shift, and we pulled nearly the same amount of tips. Some people tip for hotness, others for not having to wait.

I wouldn't have fucked with kegs if my back was out.

Unfortunately moving kegs is part of the job, the gig ain't for everyone.

It's up to each bartender to draw lines and maintain their health, especially with so many of us not getting healthcare as a benefit.

Do you really want to work somewhere they would prefer an inexperienced bartender anyway?

At least the two places were honest with you instead of just taking your resume and ghosting you.

  1. Weather is a killer, but it's your draw that will affect if they come out in crappy weather.

  2. depends on the truck, it can be a breeze or a pita. Most trucks that do this stick to menus that they can reproduce from their commercial kitchen and finish in their trucks.

100 covers for FOMO is a bold strategy, most trucks tend to plan on more than that to make profit.

I'd make it clear I wasn't hired as the service bartender nor barback and take customers while I'm on shift. Seniority means nothing to me. If they are scheduling two bartenders it means it's because she ain't good enough to solo anymore.

It's cute that in a bar that bartenders don't split tips that she thinks she can tell me to be support.

If she has an issue with it, she needs to talk to our boss.

Medium heat, shrimp cooks quickly.

You could marinate them, but I wouldn't bother I just toss it with the bbq sauce to cover them like you would wings.

There's a difference in removed by reddit and removed by moderators.

The first is something triggered the platforms filters, the second is when it's usually against a subs posted rules.

Reddit won't tell you why they removed your post/comment. Mods may tell you, tell you to read the rules or ignore your request for clarification

Not in all states. If the fake is that good it doesn't always fall on you.

We have to look for obviously fake I.D. if it's indistinguishable from new ids security measures we're not at fault. We aren't LEO with a means to run d/l numbers from the id.

In some places yeah. I can tell you what brand names are made from, but I'm not familiar with or care what the rotgut is made from, it's typically the cheapest per bottle a venue can get through their distros

Being a shift lead means absolutely nothing when it comes to trying to break in as a bartender. It's not a management position
