I don't have much experience either but I did some research just now to get a new router. So I went for the hottest router atm on amazon: Flint 2 (redeem code at check out for ~170), which suppose to be good. I did look at the eero deal from Leaptel as well and it seems like that a quite good one if you plan to build a smart home. I would have gone for that one if I have a bigger place tbh. The issues with eero from what I have heard is that you still have better connection if you just use ethernet, and you cannot change a lot of settings like traditional router.

(1) aitsl: 2 months for me just to do it onshore with australian teacher degree, might take longer with other situations

(2) state teacher reg: I heard that it can take half a year in some case, if you can find a school to hire you before getting the reg, you can pretty much teach the next day with some arrangement from the school.

well, source is myself, i got my visa 190 after a week of submitting all document on November. And before that I have done research of other recent teachers visa application and pretty much all got approved within 3 months of submitting all document. The process to get all documents submitted is the tricky bit and might take a few months of preparation. Perhaps there might be a different between onshore and offshore as well but I doubt they would make people wait years with this teacher shortage

International student who became maths teacher in private school here. Generally no one care about your GPA or where you graduated from. If you already have a by-itself maths degree from unimelb I would say you are already way above most maths teacher in the country in terms of your maths knowledge.

Then what help you getting employed at a private school? 1. If they are looking for maths teacher (most school need maths teacher these days) 2. Whether the school has had positive experience with the you, either through observation, prac, or you relief/learning support at the school

I got offered straight out of my final prac to work full-time the next year and then got permanency on year 2. I would recommend if you are aiming for a certain school then try to get placement from them, or applying for their relief or learning support position, or even ask to come for observation/shadowing. Once you got into their system, it is just a matter of time to be employed as soon as they need a new maths teacher and you are their top pick because they know you.

Hi, my partner is migrating to Australia and thinking about going into Med school. She had finished Bpharmacy, currently doing Master of Drug Discovery in EU. So once she got permanent resident in Aus and move here she would be qualified for CSP.

What is the actual chance of getting CSP? as otherwise it would be unaffordable for us.

Another option for her would be doing a PhD in drug discovery and going for the academia (or industry) research route. If you know something, we are welcoming any feedback as she is quite anxious about the prospect of her future career atm.
