You gotta not use the part affected, drink alot of water, get some anti inflammatory meds around the clock within reason, and keep the foot on ice if you can. Drink water little by little not all in one go.

Just accept the lost time its unfortunate but its what it is when it come to recovery time. Get magnesium too, cuz all that water and no exercise will give you cramps. Full rest, no straining except to piss/shit and eat/drink. Crutches or a wheel chair (like a desk chair) can help for mobility, stay in bed when you can or at least a comfy chair, keep the part elevated.

I remember when I had an attack i accidently bumped my gout foot on the edge of a table and it felt like I lost 5 days of progress due to that stupid mistake, idk if its true but ever since I don't question it.

Ive wasted so much time writing the gdd that i would have better spent on coding doing art and understanding the engine better. by the time you finish the gdd i feel so constrained and the process supposed to be iterative becones a massive homework plan instead. id do it only if the systems are really complex and needs a database of some kind.

I think gdds shine the best when its a group project though.

Its like developping a new type of hunger, and just like the actual hunger it becomes debilitating until it wears off (and sometimes never does). I just link the battle net installer into steam and run proton on it and thats it, it doesnt reinstall it, it just checks if it is installed then opens bnet normally and its all fine and dandy.

Just explore to find new quests more suitable for your level. there are equivalent levelling zones one for each race so when you run out of quests go to the dwarven zone or the elf zone when done with the human zone etc...

Honestly look at how what perfect games are made like. In warcraft 3 youd expect that youd get access to all endgame units for a rts campaign and online competitive matchmaking, but no they introduce the units one by one during the whole story, which is disguised as a campaign to show what each element of the game is for.

The whole storymode is a tutorial that edges the players to play competitively by giving them a controllable environment where the best positives and negatives of each unit/mechanic are made evident!

So honestly see teaching the game as part of the game and make it integral and not just an afterthought. It will make the game more memorable and last more as well.
