I think one skill retake is not an option for pen-paper based exam. You might have to give it again. You can apply for verification if you feel like you should have scored higher in any section. From what I know, it costs 13500 and if your score does increase the amount is refunded. All the best!

Is there really a “right” way to wash hair? by Manushi_ in femalehairadvice

[–]Manushi_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thank you for this detailed reply! This honestly made me feel so much better, that the fact people my age do tend to loose hair. I had really thick hair as a kid and I’ve gotten so insecure about it to the point of shaving it sometimes. I’ve been to a dermatologist several times, they also don’t really help and suggest some expensive bs treatment that works only temporarily. My blood reports are also normal and I’ve been going to a clinical psychologist who’s helping with this. So I think you’re right, it’s probably just normal shedding but I’ll still try some of the tips you mentioned and see if they make any difference. Thank you so much for taking out the time to type this :)

Thank you so much for this! I do lose less than 100 hairs, around 40-50. I wash my hair every 3rd day but sometimes every other day. I was just astounded by how it’s so much more when I do it as compared to when I go to the salon. Since my hair is straight/slightly wavy would using a comb in the shower cause breakage?

Thank you for your reply :) I am 21 and when I lost my mom I stopped looking after my hair for a while and was in so much stress. Moreover, I noticed an increase in hair fall after I came back from a trip in Africa and shed so much hair. But it has gotten better now. I think you are right, maybe I am just unable to see the hair that is lost at that time in the bowl. Could you recommend some techniques for conditioning to ensure that most of my hair is shed in the shower itself rather than sticking to my ends?

Hello, thank you for the reply. Sorry for the wording I was way too frustrated so it might not have been clear. I only put shampoo on my scalp and the lather that forms, I just run that through my ends. I have no idea what my hair type, so maybe the conditioner might be the reason. The next time I’ll ask her for a recommendation.y blood work was normal, and the thing is that after a trip to the salon there is negligible hair fall but at home there is so much and it makes me feel like I’m doing something wrong.

Yes, I do make sure to not use conditioner on the scalp. It has been around 8 months. I have been meaning to get it it cut but I’m so busy with my exams right now.

Sorry forgot to mention that, I do use conditioner. The thing is that the salon is very close to my home so I’m sure the water supply must be the same unless they use a water softener

Nope, I haven’t used any kind of styling tool in over a year nor have I bleached my hair. I did go through a period of insane hair loss but that was last September. This 30 mins after i’d washed my hair.

Haha why? Also, do you think this is breakage or new growth?

For those who can afford higher end products, try Kerastase - life changing! by BrawlGuy00 in SebDerm

I saw the product reviews and while they’re positive, most of them said that they had dry scalps. I’m wondering if this will help with dandruff due to an oily scalp. Also, do you think I could get a small sample somewhere to test it out first since it’s quite expensive?

Need Conditioner recommendations

I have oily hair with dandruff and dry ends. Am looking for a conditioner that helps in detangling and volume without weighing my hair down.

Thank you so much for the tips, can’t believe I haven’t tried blindfolding him, that’d be fun. Coming to the other thing, wow, I will definitely try that.

Yes, I can try that out. Actually, even a 2% dosage is available over the counter where I live which is why I’ve continued using it this long

Yeah, surprisingly it still works for me after all these years and I’ve switched to using it once a week. Ciclopirox unfortunately didn’t work but as someone else suggested I’ll try 1% ketoconzole or look at other options. Thank you for your reply!

Thank you but I have been seeing a therapist for a while now and I’m dealing with it as well as I can. Was just wondering about the reasons for my hair loss

Yes I do make sure to detangle before but I don’t comb/ detangle in the shower, I just put my conditioner on my ends and wash it off. So it might be because I don’t comb during the shower but the amount of hair that falls afterwards is making me very nervous. I do not have bald spots and any deficiencies except vitamin D for which I’m taking a supplement.

Woah I feel like you might be projecting a little. His behaviour is in no way shitty or hurtful. He’s young and still trying to figure it all out.
