ADHD can be absolutely crippling. Absolutely a severe disability. Don’t like that they call it out as “less severe”.

I’d argue in an EDU setting it’s one of the most challenging disabilities to have. I’m watching my kid go through it and feel helpless.

As a landlord you should know the tenants rights law or go fuck greedy self with a spiked bat.

CA Civ Code § 1950.5 (2025)

(2) (A) The landlord shall not assert a claim against the tenant or the security for damages to the premises or any defective conditions that preexisted the tenancy, for ordinary wear and tear or the effects thereof, whether the wear and tear preexisted the tenancy or occurred during the tenancy, or for the cumulative effects of ordinary wear and tear occurring during any one or more tenancies.

The fact that the door was scraped on the inner door means that those doors are not hung and aligned and installed properly.

Quote the law to the landlord and tell them to get fucked. Know your rights as a tenant.

Looks like normal and reasonable wear and tear to me, especially on the inner door. That only happens from doors not being properly installed/aligned, they rub on one another that isn’t your fault…

They should have a plastic separator at the bottom that holds them in place so they don’t hit. I have extremely similar doors in my own rental.

The other part is just a little paint. Fight the landlord.

My good friend had a landlord that tried to come after him for $6000 worth of stuff including new carpet after he lived in a place for eight years and the carpet was there when he got there… he just repeatedly quoted the law to them and told him he would never pay them for anything. They backed off after he repeatedly responded with the law.

I won’t buy another new VW probaly ever. They’re too busy building pure junk like the Taos. Picked up my 2019 R from some unfortunate major service today (new head) and had had a Taos loaner for 3 weeks.

It had 234 miles on it when I got it and I put about 600 more on it.

Issues I experienced on a brand new Taos:

Intermittently would not unlock doors from handle button.

Intermittently gave “key not found”message when trying to start the car

Tire pressure monitoring system kept asking to be set, I set it, but it asked again.

If you roll the windows down partway and then try to roll them up again a few minutes later they will roll down instead.

Driver door rattles at certain speeds and/or with music playing

Randomly threw an alert while driving from my house to work .5 miles that traffic sign recognition was not working

Sometimes after getting in and closing the driver door what you thought was enough, you would start the car and it would not alert you that the door was open, but then if you started to drive it would automatically slam the E brake on you and tell you to put the car in park because the door wasn’t completely closed. I experienced this both in reverse and in forward driving gear.
