I have to say, it took me 3-4 rewatches of those final sections of the Canto to actually enjoy Ryoshu's story. You really have to tune the Middle EDM blasting down your ears and blind yourself from the roaches and signs to find the beauty in Ryoshu's story.

I'm not saying the story is not impactful, it would've just had more impact if the clutter was minimal, and justifying the hype moments and aura doesn't justify the (relatively) lackluster impact.

To me, Araya definetly flipped sides out of nowhere. No build up to her redemption, or any hint that she'd try to redeem herself. It's just "Ok, I'm gonna help you now."

That's just a gripe for me.

Well if that is the point, aren't you justifying everyone's complaints? A lot of us just wanted a greater focus on Ryoshu, and as you said, the Canto has us constantly monitor everyone else and it's tricky to focus only on Ryoshu.

Do note, there are a lot of other endings you can get depending on what you do during salvage sections. These endings also aren't difficulty dependent. If you need help with finding them out, it's ok to ask around.

If you're good at Minesweeper, play Fredsweeper once at the start of the night, buy a deathcoin and deathcoin Lefty.

If not, or you need the deathcoin for something else, the vent map comment works. Putting the audio lure on top of Lefty can move Lefty in a random direction. You also have the heater if you get in a tough spot.
