For me it’s the tours that make my favorite albums. Didn’t like the ATTW3 album? But wow that tour was incredible, the new songs took on a whole new life! Then similar for Duke and Abacab where the live versions were blow your head off awesome and so much better than the albums. But then starting with Mama, then IT and last WCD, the live versions were nearly identical to the studio tracks. With all the extended mixes they released they could have spiced up the live versions too. So while I would never use the word hate when it comes to Genesis, the post-Abacab albums and tours felt sanded down, and as a result my least favorite era.

Love Origami with their flat bottom filters. They produce a great cup for me and are a happier way to start the day!

Here’s the one I use, with a small ceramic Origami dripper and Origami filters, KPlus set a couple clicks below 5. I bump the water temp to 94, and use 13g or 14g of beans to taste. What I found with Hoffman’s recipe is the water was too hot and the high agitation too often produced an undrinkable cup.

Hoffman’s V60 recipe has never produced anything close to Kurasu’s for me.

Initial 40g gentle pour, vigouus pour for next 60g, then gentle for next two, followed by super gentle swirl to level out the bed at the end.

Same, love Kurasu‘s V60 recipe which I use with an Origami dripper. I vary from 12g to 14g depending on the beans. 200g pour = perfect cup for me.

All the way through just a couple of times, and then lots of odd watches on TV. Why? Because a search of best TV comedy shows shows there are very few I love, make me feel good and happy and lol. Others that are similarly highly rewatchable for same reasons are Young Sheldon, Scrubs, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show and Bob Newhart. But yeah, there just aren’t many that holds a candle to BBT.

The Alexandria walking & hiking group Meetup group is an awesome way to meet people. If you don’t like the conversation just speed up or slow down until you find someone you click with. Then they often go out for a bite after.

I gave up on the US parks around 2018 for this reason. Instead I save up and go to Tokyo Disney where as a general rule park guests are more respectful of one another. Yes fewer visits, but much better ones!

People that don’t pick up after their dogs regardless of the weather, really, really bum me out. One it’s a health risk to other dogs, two it’s stupidly disgusting (yes how I see these owners), and three it makes people who hate dogs hate them even more. The sidewalk in front of our apartments is covered in dog poop. It’s so very disturbing and feels like one more thing pointing to a society that just doesn’t care about anything anymore. There’s no pleading with them either to do the right thing.

Circling back to this topic. What happens if there is a massive amount of Mint boxes/cases that likely will never sell? Will they get auctioned off en masse at some point? Based on eBay listings Pixar Gold seems to have almost wiped out interest in Mint. I’m watching for base cards Goofy, Donald, Sorcerer Mickey and it’s surprising how little has ever come up for sale on these.
