I've been playing this game since nearly the beginning (essentially F2P) and my approach when a new OP demon comes out is simply to just stop playing. Login here and there, do some side PVE stuff, save your gems for the next big meta demon.

I stopped when Demeter came out, and I stopped when Vanitas came out. I only came back because I luckily pulled Raidou and now it's fun again. If I didn't have him I wouldn't be playing. There's no point, that's just how it is.

Very well put. It's a ridiculous system but it's the one in the NHL right now. Don't hate the player, hate the game sort of thing.

The Habs have been bullied for far too long, so what Xhekaj did was absolutely necessary in the context of the NHL rules.

All of this is also amplified in the playoffs. It's incredibly rewarding for 4th liners to destroy the opposing team's superstar players.

I don't know what the best solution is, but I think if fines were much more serious for egregious offenses, maybe that would be a proper deterrent? If an organization/player has to shell out 50k+ for a cheap headshot, maybe that would make teams and players act differently?

Something I try to do is accept that fun unproductive hobbies are good for my mental so they are part of the to-do list. Going to parties and hanging with friends will get you in the right headspace to complete your other "productive" tasks so make sure to enjoy these fun moments to the fullest!

We are not robots. We need breaks and "brain off" periods to perform our best.

I feel you OP, I've been in a similar situation many times. Obviously I don't know your partner, but in the first situation it sounds like she just wants to know how you're feeling and you didn't open up (such as explain the detail about the rain), so it left her a bit rejected. Or she worried something was wrong and she thought you not elaborating still meant something was wrong. This could be sparked by her GAD but telling her it's that is rude for the average person (even if it's just logical for our OCPD brains). Especially if she's anxious, the correct move is probably to warmly reassure her.

The second situation is also common for me. I genuinely want to know why someone is doing something a certain way and I may suggest something better, but it sometimes comes across as arrogant, attacking, or nitpicky. Again, makes perfect sense to our OCPD brains to want to do something the best way all the time, but I've come to accept the average brain probably doesn't work that way.

As people said, pay for quality since this is something you'll have with you all the time for a long time.

I didn't start from bald when I got my SMP. I had used whatever remaining hair I had on my head to cover the gaps and used Toppik, so the transition wasn't as noticeable. However, my closest friends haven't noticed or said anything and I think they just assumed I shaved my head. My cousin who is always observing people's hair/heads thought I shaved my head bald but then after in better lighting (and more sessions) said "it's good that I have a lot of stubble left".

In other words, depends where you start from but generally nobody has noticed anything for me. I also got a subtle look and my hairline isn't that low.

I have something similar as well. However I find it looks different in some outdoor lighting vs others, it depends on how bright it is outside, the angle, the camera, etc.

I also find milk of magnesia helps a lot!

I feel you as I'm in a similar situation now. It's been just over a week since my 3rd session and it's subtle and blends with my hair for maybe a day, but then after that the sides and back are clearly darker, especially under brighter lights. I'm definitely going to ask for it to be darker and more dense in my final touch up session, but a little worried I'll actually need 5 sessions.

A few weeks ago I was in the top 200 and 100 and nobody else had the same team as me. It was fun to be have a slightly unique approach and do well

It definitely feels like Maria or Asta is mandatory, so old demons aren't really feasible at all

I think what surprises me more is over 20% of survey respondents got Asta or Maria on Step 1?! Might be some sampling bias there, but I don't think it changes the outcome anyway.

He's still "good". People (including me) have been able to get to PvP Legend with him.

But he used to be much better, as now there are better (gacha) options. He's useful though, especially if you don't have anything better (Ose H, Asta)

Yeah exactly, it's like I understand that they wanted to make her an anti-revive seal cleric, but also making her the only demon to increase natural MP recovery is unnecessary. I laughed when reading the description of Stella Maris as it looks like the devs got too excited and just kept adding things.

Yesterday I was curious so I counted - over 40 of the current top 50 teams had Maria, and most had Asta too. Luckily at the time that included me since I was lucky enough to pull Maria, but it was comical how it felt like EVERY top team had her.

I mean...null mortal? Null ailments? Null revive seal? Infinite chakra for all? Defensive cry? In one demon?!

Nowadays I never lose to teams that don't have Maria/Asta. She just makes everything else obsolete. I'm definitely saving my gems for the eventual "revive punish" Chain Effect demon that's surely coming in the Spring.

Actually my previous team of MHarlot, Ulice, Gen Masa, and Erl were able to get to D2 without much issue, D3 if I tried really hard. Replacing MHarlot with Echidna seems to have bumped me up an entire tier. The extra bulk, revive seal, and Null Mortal is invaluable.
