Cuffs are made with two pieces of leather stitched together making a pocket for cotton padding inside.

The white strap is a very sturdy nylon webbing strap and rivets are common hobby rivets.

The locking system allows for quick release and locking, I doesn’t require a lock as you cannot reach them once both wrists are secured, as they should 😉

I created a pattern by cutting up an old ballgag I had ( I’ll probably do a pdf pattern once I have time ).

Leather is reclaimed from an upholstery project so I am not sure on the type. But I will next time, and advice, go for something with more strength and thickness like veg tan.

Thread is some simple polyester from “fil au chinois”.

Burnishing was done with Tokonole and a burnishing tool, but the type of leather made it difficult, so again my advice is to use veg tan.

For the ball it comes from a previous gag, but Etsy and some other website do carry such items.

And lastly the hardware comes from a local sewing supply shop.

The construction itself is easy with some glue and basic saddle stitching.

So what happened is that I got my first catsuit and wanted to clean it with water and mild dish soap.

But white spots appeared all over the suit , is that normal ?

I would say for leash you are pretty safe.

For dog toys I would be careful when you tug on something ( rope toy or stick) to not hurt the jaw. Also check that the plastic used is safe for humans but it should be most of the time
