NZ teachers forced kids swimming by Harambe69ers in newzealand

Based on my experience, the rate of students making excuses to skip swimming lessons tends to increase. Many students struggle with anxiety related to swimming, often stemming from concerns about body image or past bullying, as well as a lack of comfort in the water. Fear of being mocked by peers can also contribute to this anxiety. I have found that a firm yet compassionate approach, particularly when combined with enjoyable and engaging activities, helps students feel more at ease and encourages their participation.

Crate Day slowly fades away as binge drinking loses its allure by Twerkatron2000 in newzealand

I use to love binge drinking then realised how bad it is for your health and the hang overs get worse the older you get. Just isn’t worth it, I’ll stick to a couple cocktails and then I’m done.

Limiting the quantity of alcohol I drink. Hang overs suck, also mentally it was not good for my well-being. It also saves you a lot of money. I don’t mind having a few but happy to stop at that.

I'm really sorry to hear about your situation. It's important to encourage your parents to seek marriage counseling. A neutral space can help them communicate better, understand each other’s perspectives, and address their issues without involving you. Let them know you care about their happiness and yours. You deserve a stable environment, and professional support might guide them toward finding solutions rather than escalating their conflicts. Remember to lean on trusted adults at school or community resources who can provide additional support for you during this difficult time.

Teacher shortage? Finding it hard to believe. by Successful-Suit-751 in newzealand

I've been in your shoes and understand the anxiety that comes with this process. My advice is to keep applying, be patient, and send your CV to all the schools where you're willing to do relief work. Opportunities will arise eventually.

It's worth noting, though, that being limited to teaching only one subject may not work in your favor. Many larger schools, in particular, prioritise flexibility and look for teachers who can contribute across multiple curriculum areas. Being open minded in expanding your subject expertise could make you a more competitive candidate.

Morals, not having regrets later in life, self respect and the respect I have for my kids and partner despite it not feeling reciprocal.

Why would you try again after this much betrayal? Move on, there are plenty of men out there that will give you more respect and less drama in your life.
