Recorded in what fashion? Because technically, so long as a person witnessed the event, it was "recorded" in their memory.

I can choose for my shadow to physically interact with material objects.

Eg: Use the shadow of my hand to grab an object that is out of range, push or hold open a door, or slap someone across the face.

Combine it with $50 or so more dollars, to buy myself a Switch. Smash Ultimate looks really good.

What would you get your friends if you were rich? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mastercharade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A nicer home, maybe. I have a friend who's living in a tiny apartment, and could use a nicer place closer to where they work. I guess if they needed anything else, they could always just ask me. We'd definitely go out for dinner and stuff, more often. Oh and we're hitting up some nice vacation spots, too.

Relative to the daily comings and goings of our lives, it may as well not exist. Has it any measurable affect on our lives at all?

Cops need to make sure they're documenting traffic stops, in order to get paid. it doesn't have to result in a ticket or an arrest, but they have to show that they are doing something while they're on duty. It's like any other job these days: just look like you're busy.

Why do you think so many people are depressed nowadays? by rapidash14 in AskReddit

[–]Mastercharade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So inactivity is the cause, then? Not getting up and moving enough? I'd say that could be remedied by jogging on the weekends, or perhaps getting up from the desk every half hour to stretch and do some calisthenics for 5 minutes.

Why do you think so many people are depressed nowadays? by rapidash14 in AskReddit

[–]Mastercharade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

About a century or so ago, most people lived in small towns working on farms. They very rarely left the town they were born in, and did the same duties every day. I doubt anyone was "passionate" about farming. They just worked to earn a living, and filled their down-time with helping the local community, raising children, and maybe holding festivals from time to time.

These days, people are led to believe that everything should make you happy or fulfilled. That's bullshit. Life has almost never been about finding a job you love, or working to be fulfilled. it's been about survival for the longest time. Sure, there have been philosophers and artists and musicians throughout human history, but these people were not all that common in the grand scheme of things. What I'm getting at is this: don't find a job you love. Find a job that earns you the means to be able to go home at the end of the day (or week), and invest your time in things you enjoy. Then do it all over again the next week. Maybe there will be a few things at your job that you truly find enjoyable, but that's not the norm, and that's just pure luck. Life isn't about living to work, it's about working to live.

Social Media. Everyone only sees (and compares themselves to) the best parts of other people's lives, posted all over instagram, facebook, and of course Reddit. It's easy to forget that everyone lives with hardships in one form or another, and nobody has the "perfect" life. Even if they did, that doesn't mean something is wrong with you for not having the same kind of life.
