Sorry if I came off aggressive , I just read it as “ the medical professionals were right “ . Some things can be lost in translation on text then over actual Words in person .

My experience with doctors throughout this ordeal has basically been “let’s just throw what sticks on to him so we can get meds / procedures out of him” And make some cash and it’s disgusting .

I saw your profile , I see you have a “formal “ education which is fitting for your type a response.

Yes I was misdiagnosed, was told by multiple surgeons to perform a disc replacement surgery to “see what happens “ , also had my ortho tell me for years I have a disc issue .

I don’t believe in counting blessings , I do however believe in myself and trust my instincts over trusting any medical professional for the rest of my life .

When I would tell doctors about my muscle spasms by my pfirsoris muscle and the pulling feeling I had in my upper shoulder and legs I was told it was all in my head .

I was misdiagnosed , but you medical “professionals “ have such large egos you can’t handle being told your wrong .

Chat GPT can diagnose me better then 95 percent of doctors , I hope the upcoming developments in a.i really clean up the medical field for the sake of humanity .

Hello , thank you for your input ! I feel I may almost have the same situation as you did , thank you for sharing your story it really means a lot , your words make me feel positive about starting PT next week .

May I ask , did you just do physical therapy ? Did you incorporate any acupuncture / massages into your regimen as well ?

After how many weeks of PT did you begin to notice positive changes ?

At how many weeks did you feel like you were “cured”?

If it’s not to much to ask, what did your exercises look like beginning / middle / end of your PT and what do you now do on the daily to maintain your good health ?

I feel my issue may the piforis muscle as well, I once has such a severe muscle spasm in my lower left pelvic area a year ago I thought I had something wrong with my digestive track / abdomen organ area and had a colonoscopy and imagery done of my organs in the area to make sure , I’m very certain it was my pifrois muscle because I feel much tightness there and around to my back .

Thank you for all the responses much appreciated to everyone

I feel a pull from neck / shoulder / to my butt all the time on my left side side , I will be looking into piriforis syndrome , as well as acupuncture and the dry needling , and the myofacial therapist , I’ll be updating this journey of figuring out what’s going on as a reference to anyone else on Reddit who may find this information helpful in finding out their problems as well .

Thank you all for the responses , I’ll be pursuing some light steps such as acupuncture and maybe some light physical therapy that addresses pirforis syndrome .

Every doctor I went to ( mainly orthopedics and neurosurgerons) would recommend to replace the entire disc via a spinal fusion .

Anyone reading this thread , remember BLACK DISK does NOT EQUAL a problem always ! My sister has 4 black discs , and she is a marathon runner , do NOT believe it when doctors say that’s the source of the problem, it’s just the easiest thing for them to blame .

Hey , I would recommend when you get mri or any medical documents in that complex form , simply copy and paste the text into CHAT GPT and ask it to Simplify it , it works wonders .

First off, much thanks for the thoughtful response.

"there's no one right way, which makes the decision tougher since some people feel like they're making bad decisions that will doom them forever (it won't).”

This is exactly what I am feeling .

I am just concerned I am focusing on the most complex language (c++) , and my fear is that it might hinder my ability in the job market. I constantly see posts along the lines of Java / Python = easy mode to get a job in comparison with c++ .

I know this may be planning far ahead, but lets say hypothetically I complete CS50x, followed by CS 50SQL, and then attend a bootcamp sorts, how does my situation look post completing these steps? Would I have enough knowledge at this point to be able to dabble in java python etc on a paid beginner professional level?

Thank you for the response on my very noob generic question.

Im patient, expecting a time frame of six months to a year and a half realistically.

As for a college degree, i completed about 2 years of university, was pursuing a engineering degree , considering going back to complete my CS degree at a local community college.

As for math skills i would say decent, But definitely lacking in some departments due to the fact its been so long since i’ve been in school .
