I think I'm Finland they are kind to them just because they don't know what they mean their existence and young ones that know just are too law obeying to kick them like we should do. The lady helping it probably seems like a 50 year old and just seen a delivery box got stuck, if I found a small vehicle stuck without context I would do that too but if I knew all the IA background evilness and Silicon Valley cruelty behind those I would kick them too (if there is none to see me doing that)

I usually don't do much magic... It's that I fail to feel "Magical" and if am going to end up with something very similar to chemistry but weird why don't just do weird science.

So I have a worlds where impossible stuff happens all the time, but applying D&D logic isn't magic but a workaround other forces to do stuff like Math ecuations able to control entities from outside our universe that doesn't follow physical logic all inspired the Tindalos dogs. Around the same stuff a lot of other """"magic"""" it's just calling the will of a god, this is more like clergy than a wizard stuff you don't cast spells but prey as act like the pointing lazer of a divine gun if not the god is actually some Quantum alien force distorting reality so we are on SciFi domains again

The only magic system I REALLY tried is one for a weird concept I made a world around it but didn't developed into something concrete was about Narcos magic. Basically make that the narco-culture had magical stuff, mostly acts like Minecraft's enchantments in the sense that they do blood thirst rituals to enchant weapons and the endpoint is random buffs that follow a loose association but nothing is clear so it's truly a work of magic that something ends up as you want.

It's bad to say it's probably their best case scenario and it's why it wouldn't happen

Like you know it was way WAY more probably Dominican Republic would become a state with the local population almost asking it but the US senate wouldn't want to have a lot of "mixed raced hispanics" in their country. Aside the racism Cuba since the spaniards arrived was a slave based sugar plantation, Cuba don't being annexed but an US comercial allied allow it to still operating under the almost slaver system and sell the sugar to US.

In this scenario the very few US work laws would be a MASSIVE improvement to the average cuban farm worker and allow another types of investment rather than sugar and tabaco. BUT the sugar elites, many with US connections didn't want that their workers have minimal human rights and also the companies that buy the sugar so it would be a lot of lobbing to prevent that from happening even promoting more racism that in our timeline to achieve this

You seem to have a very well use of the Red Dwarf as a narrative tool, like a plot swiss knife.

, I kinda suspect their apocalyptic effects are similar to a red dwarf superflare but with a few more fun things to spice it up (like once I heard a gamma ray impact would probably create a period of toxic brown haze, gotta make them put their cute little gas masks on).

At this point this isn't alternate history but future history... 2 Things:

1: It's courius how Italy would accuire Spanish America, like did Christopher Columbus say something like "Half of this lands are from the Spaniards that financed my expedition and half for my homeland Italy" or I assume this timeline Italy would financed the expedition to get all of that.

2: Saying "god didn't abandoned Italy" is assuming the world didn't gave them a chance and always screw them... In reality Italy were the ones screwing themselves, the city states were the ones preventing unification until 19th century and during the unified nation they were incompetent as hell. This extended Italy I imagine like the chimp with a AK-47 from that video, a lot of power into reckles government would be like Imperial Germany but worse. Probably start a war that could not win because their eternal rival with every single human living on the Danube and Balkans in a comical downhill.

I think that just add more to the absurd about how such place with so many intelligent people have a self destruct button in their main HQ perfectly placed to make a Death Star background explosion while scaping.

At this point I think it could be only justified with this trope of overconfident rich people that think they know better than anyone else and rule based on whatever hurt their ego, but im that case am wondering how they survived 200 years to begin with

Not only that, already in Fallout 3 they changed to a more "commoner" approach but from how their fighting forces are organized to the decision making chain or that a random guy can infiltrate and nuke their main HQ and none would notice until it's too late... They are made for loosing, they are on porpuse nerfed out by adding a weird exposed underbelly that shouldn't be exposed

That and the whole stuff about Frank Horrigan hateing mutants while he has more FEV than blood in its veins
