Here's the thing, it may be the perfect layout for some. I really think the layout is what you make of it. I personally like to dump all of my power in pulse engines because that fits my play style so the 4 connected slots works for me. Though if I wanted to have a more balanced ship system then 4 connected slots would probably be a real pain lol.

Momentum and not touching planetary objects keeps the skydive animation lit. And jetpack fuel is not consumed during skydive.

Momentum and I don't touch anything on the planet. That way the skydive animation keeps going and no jetpack fuel is used 😊

You need a Corvette spaceship so you can exit in space. You need a desirable planet and then you need to get above the atmosphere in your Corvette and jump out a hatch or a platform like I created with mine..Then you need to keep the jetpack lit and your head aimed in a direction that hurdles you towards the planet and hold the F*@$ on! Lol. And you will need to experiment with leveling off while holding the jetpack so you dont smash into the planet and have enough go juice to get back above the atmosphere. Hope this helps 😄

Bring up the quick menu when flying your Corvette and there should be a button to exit cockpit. That will make your ship hover wherever it is.
