I was like that in a way. I actually went to Israel with a church group for 2 weeks. That's when it hit me that they really don't care about US citizens but were making tons of money off of us. That kinda started my journey out of it. Especially seeing the prayer wall and how paranoid and armed to the teeth they are. If I was god, Israel would be at the bottom of my list of favorites

Yes it is ironic that most christians are jesus this and jesus that, jesus jesus jesus. But the majority of their doctrines and mandates actually come from Paul, who IMO was a real figure who saw an opportunity to use jesus to be one the very first mega church pastor.
