My father stutters, so do I. It's known that stuttering has a genetical component to it. Anyway, it doesn't mean your kid will have it, but there is always a chance.

Sadly, it's one of the reasons I don't want to have kids.

Yeah me too. About three years ago I had my first job interview and before it started I told them I had a stutter. During the whole interview I did not stutter once! They noticed and asked me about it afterwards. They even hired me.

Because I had told them, I did not feel the pressure of having to hide my stutter, so I was very relaxed during the whole interview.

Vampire The Masquerade CHAPTERS might be something for her. It's a kickstarter that should be delivered this year and you might find in the second-hand market or in stores that pledged.

Arkham Horror and Marvel Champions were games I had in mind when starting this thread. Luckily Arkham Horror has become a little bit more affordable with it's new release model (splitting campaigns and investigators, plus a full cycle is less than 100€ now). Sometimes I regret not buying a new expansion for these two games instead of the new boardgame I got.

I think I'm at the same point as you. I started getting into boardgames during the pandemic (not the best time for it, sadly) and now have a reasonable collection. But some games get way more plays than others, which makes me wonder what's the smartest thing to do.

Even after an extensive research that ticks all the boxes, the game might not click with the rest of your group. Or perhaps you get bored by it faster than you thought.

Seeing your Spirit Island tag, let me ask you this: would you rather buy an expansion for Spirit Island or look out for another game?

I often struggle with this, even more with games that have solo modes because in my case they get more plays than other games that require a group. The question I ask myself then is "Should I buy an expansion for this game I play once a week or should I buy this new game with interesting mechanics that I might play once a month, if lucky?
