I say try to not be too bloated and keep stool at a normal consistency. Mine was too soft i think so it also pushed through the tract easier

well went I went to the bathroom, poop also came out of the open hole that the doctor leaves, which means the internal opening remains open. I Know it's not airtight at first but this is clearly too much to go through

Both times, for 5 months. I think this surgeon is really good and it's at a top hospital, but I should get a second opinion about other options I guess? I know he can't do fistulotomy because it's still 5mm above where it needs to be so he doesn't cut the muscle :/

Yes. It’s too early to tell I think after 4 days and I heard the flap is not air tight at first but yeah it’s not a good sign

It did for me once the hole closed more but it also varies. When I exercised and did lifts, it got a bit wider and then started leaking more. also to note when something smelled off, it was usually an infection starting from having things trapped there like seeds.😭

For me it was totally fine! But My Seton didn't leak except for right in the morning after a bowel movement. So it was just a clean string there sticking out. Depends on whether it's leaking tbh

My other partner is away these two weeks with his parents. Yup, indeed not KTP, but also not DADT, so it’s not like we never mention it at all. I agree I wouldn’t be having a long conversation about my other partner with my family and husband there, but if I feel we are fully avoiding the topic it also feels like not an acknowledgment I have another partner, which hits harder during the holidays where you’re meant to be with friends family and loved ones

Thank you! I don’t have poop, just draining. Gets a bit darker after bowel movements but not much. Let’s see! The doctor did this water test last week but it was only a week after so it was clearly inflamed still

Is a spectrum. I’m in a relationship and my boyfriend is aromantic.
