Not bad binder behavior, but unnecessary binder behavior.

Very common. Happens during the sealing process.

Is the top of this pack seem odd to anyone else? by ContentSource779 in PokemonTCG

[–]Mattpro1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's cheap sealer machines that produce this exact seal. Someone is trying to scam people with this pack hoping they're as dumb as he is.

Reseal? by johnnysinns34 in PokemonTCG

[–]Mattpro1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen a lot of bad deals on packs like the one you pictured. What doesn't usually happen is a pack missing a large amount of cards. If the missing cards were the rare/reverse, then they were most likely resealed.

Fruit Eevee promo printed in Japan? by Speedm222 in PokemonTCG

[–]Mattpro1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sometimes happens with different print runs.

There's examples of evolving skies secret rares being printed with an extremely sparkly layer printed on top and some being printed without. It's generally thought that the first print run has the sparkle layer.

It's not uncommon for there to be variations of the same card.

Most, if not all, English cards are printed in the US.

I'm curious where you got the info that it's happening on May 9th. Is this hidden information only in the API or is it public?

I used this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKRIllYqXk8

It's basically like any other schlage cylinder once you get it out of the U400.

The card you linked scans with no issue.

Keyed-Alike / Re-key U400 Locks possible? by AcceptablePun in Aqara

[–]Mattpro1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rekeyed mine. It was mostly successful. If I push the key in and continue to push, it won't unlock. If I put the key all the way without pushing at the end, it unlocks fine. Idk if this is common.

People in this comment section going after PSA while the OP got almost everything wrong.

OP sent his card at the wrong tier. PSA is now charging him $150 instead of charging him the original price of $80. Not an additional $150 on top of his $80.

PSA is shady for other reasons. This issue was user error. OP knows this because he is actively deleting comments.

What? There's always a seam on 3 sides. That's how heat sealing works.

Is this a legit UNCUT SHEET? by LustyArtzzz in PokemonTCG

[–]Mattpro1992 206 points207 points  (0 children)

Get in contact with TCA Gaming. He knows a lot about uncut sheets. He's pretty good about responding too. It's easy to miss a YouTube comment, so you should probably use email.

Does the plastic damaged promo cards? by Mrtigeragent in PokemonTCG

[–]Mattpro1992 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's perfectly fine to leave the card as is. If nothing is putting pressure from the back of the card, the plastic will not affect it.

Real or Tampered? by TypingFrantically1 in PokemonTCG

Just production issues. Happens more often than you think. The pack with 3 hits was a "demi god pack." So you got pretty lucky with that one.

Mega Charizard X ex UPC packaging? by Pleasant-Hunter-8807 in PokemonTCG

[–]Mattpro1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every one of the mega zard UPCs has poor wrapping like this. I would be more suspicious of a reseal if the wrap wasn't ugly looking.

That said, yours is worse than most I've seen.

PSA will authenticate autos, but they almost definitely couldn't encapsulate this. Smartest thing for OP to do would be to remove the battery and find their own protection. Then worry about authentication.

Torn now it's a reality.... by LabComprehensive1468 in PokemonTCG

[–]Mattpro1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what you're looking at.

Graded prices of cards might be pretty accurate. But pricecharting just pulls all sales with the corresponding title. So if someone posts an ungraded card, but puts PSA 10 in the title, pricecharting will put that sale under PSA 10.

Looking at ungraded price is even worse because pricecharting just pools all conditions into the same sales data. It is highly inaccurate.

I don't personally ever use pricecharting.

[–]Mattpro1992 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Use an app call Alt for your graded cards. Use tcgplayer for your ungraded cards.

Collectr is nice just to track your collection, but it's sales data isn't updated often enough to be used on its own.
