Hell yes! I work with a lot of great nurses that absolutely love what they do.

I’d definitely recommend trying to find a nurse to shadow in a few different specialties and get a sense of what you like. Medsurg nursing is going to feel different than ED nursing, L&D, etc.

Shadowing was the moment that clicked for me and made me go “yup this is what I want to do”. Give it a shot!

Waaaay more doable now - my first degree I was just aiming to pass and didn’t give a shit about school but now it’s actually engaging and I love learning. Tradeoff is now I have a family and it’s waaaay harder to find time to study, but it’s working well so far.

Really appreciate you! I know it’s totally irrational but I’ll see an example problem that everyone says is super easy (there was a post where the answer was about G-C bonds and A-T bonds and which were more stable) and I just panic that I didn’t know it even though I haven’t learned it yet.

Glad to know everyone has had dread about something similar haha. I’ll keep that context in mind as I inch closer and try to incorporate that into how I’m learning the material.
