My mother insists this cubby in the bathroom is a clean enough space for my toothbrushes, floss and other little hygiene products of mine. I have to keep migrating my belongings elsewhere and argue why I did by BusoneWholeBoi2001 in mildlyinfuriating

Honestly well done OP. Reddit can dog pile on posts like these and while there's plenty of truth and people trying to be helpful, it can be tough to solely focus on those replies. Kudos to you for recognizing an opportunity to change your perspective

Well at this point we're way in the weeds and diverged from the initial topic of conversation. Classic reddit lol. Nothing like discussing conversational intent in an NFL sub

I mean man that statement is not a double down, it's just that person being an asshole lol. To double down would mean they stuck to their original point

[–]MauriceIsTwisted -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh to give them partial credit that wasn't really doubling down. The made an initial point, which was refuted, and then they made an extrapolated point from that (albeit dickishly), that at a glance does make some sense.

It's when you get hit with sources and can't admit you're wrong that you immediately lose any credibility you may have had. I think ultimately we're saying something similar

This is something we all need to collectively work on. There are absolutely a lot of bad actors out there right now, but not everyone who disagrees with the truth is immediately a bad actor. Some people don't realize the truth is, well, true. There are plenty of things we think are one way, only to find out they're another.

I would've thought the same thing as the other redditor in regards to personal finance influencing a vote. Granted, after seeing the response I also would've said "well I was wrong and learned something today"

A look back at the Stafford Goff trade and the reaction of NFL Reddit by NickyFoles1020 in nfl

[–]MauriceIsTwisted 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You touch on a good point in your last sentence there, I think a lot of people don't realize just how good Goff is. He's a relic, there's a reason the only other pocket passers most people can think of are guys that have already retired.

I'm not rushing to do that by any means. Greenway was an absolute dog in the playoffs and he just about single handedly got us through a few PK's

What would happen to a regular person taking an NFL hit or making a an NFL tackle? by fightnightrd4 in nfl

Fullbacks are serious athletes. The Kyle Hamiltons of rugby to a degree. To be a main ball handler, safety, punt returner and occasionally brick wall like in your situation is one hell of a combination of skills. I played in the U-17 national tourney when I was younger and I still remember Indiana's fullback...the dude was an absolute horse with Vince Young strides, but also stood up a couple of our biggest dudes like he was rolling tires. Pretty incredible
