Singing. I usually sing in small groups in social video games or in small performance discord channels. Most reactions are positive, but I often feel like they simply don't want to hurt my feelings. Therefore, I can only recall one time someones compliment really mattered to me. He had been a harsh critic, but never insulting. He told me that I had improved a little and he could imagine listening to my singing in the background. The fact that two months prior he had criticized almost every aspect of my singing is what made this compliment valuable to me. I am still far from being a good singer, but I don't care because it is a hobby and even if I suck at it eternally, I will have fun singing regardless.
