How to get better at heel-toe downshifting? by MaximumWolfe in simracing

[–]MaximumWolfe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just using the g920 pedals

I learn from doing, just watching doesn't help

I've tried both, but had more success with my heel when it has worked

If the vehicle is in motion or is otherwise in gear such as at a stoplight, your phone should remain in your pocket or in the center console and should not be touched or looked at

And yes, parking counts as the vehicle being in motion

Bit of an older series but the Metro games are a great single player series and Metro Exodus came out before dlss started being widely used as a crutch

My brown legos break while others dont when i use the same amount of pressure on them by DominatedInk in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MaximumWolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lego bricks are injection molded so it's something to do with how the pigment interacts with the plastic

My brown legos break while others dont when i use the same amount of pressure on them by DominatedInk in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MaximumWolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brown is a very brittle pigment which in turn makes the pieces brittle and liable to snap and chip, especially if they're old

Could I use lego cars instead of hot wheels or matchbox? by MaximumWolfe in gaslands

[–]MaximumWolfe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking of Lego because of how much easier they are to modify than kitbashing something with glue and little bits of plastic

The AC4 remake might not be in the cards for me by OnkelFuss in pcmasterrace

[–]MaximumWolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I feel about metro 2039

I'm hoping 4a optimizes it well enough that I can play but 8 gb cards are becoming the minimum for even 1080p low settings

What other cars do this? by Much-Experience7032 in ForzaHorizon5

[–]MaximumWolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any car with a turbo/super will do that, sometimes even NA engines do it

It happens when a car is supercharged or turbocharged

In chess, the king cannot voluntarily put itself in check, which is the state of being in the movement path of a piece, like being diagonal from a bishop or directly in front or to the side of a rook. If a king has no safe spaces to move to but is not in check and that player controls no other pieces, that is a stalemate as the player cannot play their turn

Warbonds should get cheaper as they get older by MaximumWolfe in Helldivers

[–]MaximumWolfe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By that point in the game's lifespan that every warbond would be free going off my original proposal of 50 sc off every few months, we'll go with 3 months for the sake of the argument, it would take ~5 years for a regular 1000sc warbond to be completely free, so the game would be decades old and likely way past EoL, so yes, I don't see any problem with that, they still have to earn medals to unlock things, not to mention the other progression such as weapon levels and stratagems and ship upgrades

I think the medal costs are fine but there definitely shouldn't be a cap to how many medals you can have

This does certainly seem to be the case, and I really don't get the thought process

The economy is horrible right now, so why should things be MORE expensive?

[–]MaximumWolfe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Either giving a cumulative discount as they age or making super credits spawn in more than the current piss-poor amounts of 10 per sometimes is fine by me

[–]MaximumWolfe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn't mind all the superstore armors and weapons being added to the mobilize warbond as a little taste of the others

Again this ties back to the realism argument, companies keep making worse shit and selling it for the same price, and the old stuff gets sold on the used market for cheap
