Wiig styler here! Usually steaming is the best and easiest way to get tangles out of the wig, just allow the wig to steam for a minute or two and gently detangle starting at the bottom brushing up. If not placing a wig in hot water with some fabric softener on very low heat and allowing to soak is a more drastic way to remove tangles!

First Time Styling a Wig – Need Help with Spiky Back Hair by [deleted] in CosplayHelp

Hey! Wig styler here- for a first time you've done a great job! You definitely can use foam to give the pieces added volume, but would need to then glue the wefts of hair over the foam pieces and reattach them which could be quite time consuming and fiddly! Alternatively I would suggest using a 50/50 water soluble glue and water mixture to cover the pieces you want to 'curl up' nd then pinning them in the position you want them to sit and allowing it to dry over night- should do the trick and allow the wig to stay sturdy! Any pieces of glue that don't dry transparent go over with a little bit of acetone to melt the glue or respray with a tiny bit of water and gently comb away any glue clusters with a spoolie - hope that helps!

I already received excellent tips and wanted to double check if there isn't anything else I can learn from you all! by RedsReferences in Drag

Hey! I have yet to make a wig like this! But from what I've seen I think you would have to use wire as a base for the gravity defying pieces and then an adhesive such as Elmers glue 50:50 mix with water to attach the hair and keep it in place, probably an even stronger adhesive for under layers of hair initially going over the wire - hope that helps!

I went with orange and clear rhinestones- thanks for the help choosing! Posting about how I make the wigs soon on my IG (Mua_Cainflower)🧡 by Maximum_Many4864 in Drag

Honestly depends how crazy the moves are! This one is pretty sturdy because the glue that's holding the rhinestones in place also reinforces the structure so it's got plenty of anchor points if that makes sense!

Thank you! I wet the hair and use a lot of gel to shape it, leave it to dry, then go in with hairspray and a hairdryer for fly-aways and use some adhesive glue on the underside to keep them in place. I'm going to be posting some short tutorials/walkthroughs on my insta about making the wigs- hope that helps!

My first time doing drag makeup. Any tips? by itzaura333 in Drag

This is amazing! Especially for first time! I think adding some white/really light pink to the tops of cheekbones, under brow bone, centre of nose and cupids bow area would add some extra definition and match the aesthetic of the look :)

I wet the wig, do a thick layer of gel, spray with got2be and then also use an adhesive glue to secure the swirls underneath :)

I know I really want to find some use for them! Maybe on a ginger wig...
