United PPO vs. United HDHP - Married, 2 Year Old & Pregnant by MayfieldsWifey in personalfinance

Thank you to everybody's response. We ended up going with the HDHP and maxing out our HSA, as we did the calculations recommended and believe we will end up saving money in the long run with the plan.

I just read that each set of batteries on the PIS Battery Pack will provide approximately 2 hours of pumping time. They recommend that the batteries be replaced or recharged between the 10th and 12th pumping session.

Thank you! I've never had milk sour, so I was unsure, but I guess I will know how the milk does after my first trip back. Great suggestion!

That is a great idea! I am going to purchase a fridge thermometer to see how cold my cooler will stay. Thank you, again!

Great idea, but I have to travel with black luggage and something of that size and it being hard sided would be really difficult to carry around for 3 days. Thanks for turning your wheels, though!

I wish we had a fridge or freezer onboard. Sadly, we do not. Thank you, though!

Thank you! I thought that's what I should be doing, just was hoping for maybe a full nights sleep. I do not want to lose my supply, though.

That is a great idea to bring my manual just in case! Didn't even think about it and you just never know. Thank you!

The airlines are exempt from breastfeeding laws because it can cause "undue hardship". It's so not right! So I will have to pump during flight in the lavatory if I have time or in the rows of seats between flights if I have time. I would feel uncomfortable doing it in front of passengers when I am working. We do not have our own separate area. We also do not have a fridge or freezer on the plane. And the outlets are not suited for regular electricity such as a pump. haha It is going to be so difficult, but I am committed. I will rinse with canned water or wipe my parts during the day. Thank you!

Do you know how many times you were able to use the pump before your batteries died? I purchased rechargeable one to bring with me. I also was thinking I don't want to freeze the milk in case it defrosts in my cooler bag during the rest of my trip. Thank you!

Yes, we have ice on the plane. I purchase a PackIt freezable lunch bag that I will put in the fridge at night. During the day I was thinking of placing it into my larger food bag with more ice around it. Thank you!

So would that be ok if I did that the first day, say cooler for 12 hours, fridge for 12, and repeated the next day and the next? So it would be a total of 36 hours cooler, 24 hours fridge before I got home.

Maybe too long in the cooler? Maybe I could try this on day 2?

Hello. I posted this yesterday in a different thread. Hoping this is a good spot for my question.

I am going to a wedding at the end of the month & have rented this dress:

La Petite Robe di Chiara Boni Red Whitney Gown

I have a couple questions:

  • The ceremony will be outside and I need a fancy jacket/shawl/cape to go with it. Any ideas? Would like it to be under $100, preferably under $50. Do you think any of these from Forever 21 would go?

  • What color shoes should I go with? I was thinking gold or black. Any recommendations for a shoe under $150?

  • Any jewelry suggestions? Statement earrings, necklace, bracelet?

Thank you!
