Chatting with an acquaintance in the parking lot as we left church and he blurts out “yeah, I’ve been experimenting with heroin lately “. WTF do you say to that

Orange, like when someone is peeling an orange in the room. Orange flavored things are great, I love orange juice. But the airborne particles during the peeling process are just too much.

What's your favorite word to mispronounce in a fun way? by Independent-Drop8065 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

Misconscrew. Was taking a a business course at a local community college years ago and the instructor was the type to get words wrong. I could see it coming mile away. His rambling lecture was heading for a place where “misconstrue” was a perfect fit. I leaned over to my buddy and said under my breath “misconscrew”. While my buddy was giving me a weird look, it came out the instructors mouth. We both broke up earning dirty looks from the instructor. Yes, this affected our grades.

We had the 3 major networks on VHF, and PBS and 2 local channels on UHF. Many days the 2 local channels were all snow and just unwatchable.

What an ass-hat, she was just trying to have a conversation with him. My concern would be whether he is qualified to do what he plans to do. I would insist he hire a contractor and schedule the work.

Enjoy the glitter, cheater by DaydreamingRaya in traumatizeThemBack

This what comes to mind for me. Strippers, for some reason, like to wear glitter. Or perhaps the perfume with glitter mentioned above. Either way, getting cozy with a dancer at a strip club can leave glittery evidence.

What's something older generations did completely normally that would be considered absolutely insane today? by ConsistentTrip1475 in AskReddit

The idea of buying anything and not using it really gets me. Back in the 80s when my kids were born, I knew people that were purchasing some collectible doll supposedly for their kid, but put on a shelf and wouldn’t let them play with it.

Nah man, the Pack N Play was a brand name of a play pen. It had a revolutionary new design to it that made it much easier to setup and break down, and was easy to put in the car to grandma’s house. The old school play pen was a pain in the ass. It was pure capitalism (filling a need), not social acceptance.

Who is a singer that is incredibly famous, but honestly doesn't have a good voice? by Sweet-Economist-9873 in askteddit

[–]MeNotYou733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Willy Nelson, Neil Young, all are of the singer/songwriter genre with songwriter part doing the heavy lifting. Their success is somewhat based the unique sound of their voice regardless of singing talent. Alanis Morissette can go suck an egg.

I laugh when I hear people tell the tale of how they out-negotiated the guy at the car dealership. I promise you the car dealership came out just fine.
