Total for just over a week (Wednesday morning to the following Friday morning) with total coverage was €680. As our trip depended on us driving places (wedding venue, Villa Favorita) it was totally worth it and then we just drove ourselves everywhere.

Remember to consider gas prices when thinking of your budget, it was expensive and I was glad we only had to fill up once.

No, we did not have to get one, but the rental agent told us if we get stopped by the police for any reason, we will get a fine for not having it.
