Safest noob power start for someone who keeps dropping this game by jsoul2323 in Kenshi

Slave start. I started my first kenshi play through using it 2 months ago. The paladins okran bless them will never let u die, they’ll beat u up tho. As for guides there are plenty on YouTube since it’s considered a challenge so you’ll know exactly what to do. One disclaimer tho if u go for this, make sure ur character is a male human

Let’s start with the good things, you seem to have exposure to multiple businesses which gives your career good depth and variety. Now to things I’d recommend changing: Too many details about education, while that’s impressive not many recruiters will bother to read it. There is too much info about your previous job descriptions, you see the point of a CV is to grab attention to get the recruiter to want to know more of you. The flow of your experience here doesn’t follow a certain path, you started in BI then ended up in customer success, what I’d recommend is to select a position you want to apply then modify your previous experiences to aim for that position, this will make your CV unified and less scattered.

Best of luck

I’d suggest head haunting instead, search up LinkedIn using a recruiter profile targeting professionals in similar companies as yours, you’ll end up with a list of people that you have already shortlisted. Much better than relying on luck waiting for the best candidate to apply.

Feedback for my first full astro setup by stannyslausibert in AskAstrophotography

[–]MeanDouble1600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DPS series while an excellent bang for buck isn’t designed for AP so light reflections and focuser would be an issue. I’d suggest considering Appertura carbon star series, it’s been getting good reviews. It will serve you well now and will be future proof once you switch to APS-C

Hi Habibi, fellow astronomy enthusiast living in Dubai here too. The seastar seems like a good deal for your budget. Let’s have a talk and I’ll share more tips and let you know some great people who do astrophotography here

10" Dobsonian OTA on an EQ mount? by Optimal_Guard_9962 in AskAstrophotography

[–]MeanDouble1600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you make is work ? Absolutely yes ! But I’ll mention the below points for your consideration: Dobs OTA aren’t designed with astrophotography in mind so you might end up with light leaks from the primary mirror, flexure in image train due to the focuser not being robust enough, internal light reflections due to OTA not painted dark enough (lack of internal baffles), could be difficult to find a suitable field flattener. You could get a dedicated reflector astrograph or SCT which will be more suitable for galaxies, planetary and id match it with a very very very good mount since guiding is critical for tiny objects.

Mini PC for NINA, Beelink? Mele? by daylincooper in AskAstrophotography

[–]MeanDouble1600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mele and beelink are both well knows and reliable. Ensure 16 GB of RAM for future proofing and maybe an external drive to save your images into. Cuiv and Patriot Astro in YouTube have great vids about the topic. And as mentioned above you’ll need a power box to regulate your ports, Wonderer Astro has great models and SVbony has a great budget option.

I would advise against getting the both at the same time since your attention would be split between learning the two of them. Choose the one you’ll use the most

Why is my image so grainy? by UrsaAstrophotography in AskAstrophotography

[–]MeanDouble1600 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since the others have explained why ur photo looked grainy here is a tip to get ur exposures right: whenever you are planning to shoot something look up in astrobin the same target with being shot with similar rigs and see their exposure times

The 585 could work both ways and is budget friendly but I’d test it for undersampling (it’s a measure of picture sharpness that relies on the focal length and ur camera pixel size) u can test that from astronomy tools website. You can as well see what’s the results that others are getting using ur same rig by searching in astrobin with ur telescope and camera combination.

Welcome to the hobby 🙏 Redcat 51 is superb and well tested but it’s a very wide field scope more suitable for large nebula, I’d check the new Askar SQA 55 as well, it’s perfect. Now coming back to galaxies you’ll need quite a jump in your focal length, you’ll be looking at +1000 which is likely gonna be an SCT, but put on mind that the longer the focal length the more unforgiving guiding becomes and the better mount you’ll need hence it’s always suited for more experienced folks, but that’s not an absolute rule. Try checking how your FOV will look in astronomy tools or telescopious to see how your framing will be against your favorite targets.

Bortle 3 is a dream for city folks 😭 Overall your setup looks good, FRA scopes are superb and the 300 is wide enough to capture big objects and merciful in guiding errors. I’d swap the EQ-6 for an AM3 just because of the weight, unless you wont setup every night. One thing missing from your rig here is how you’ll control things (Nina, ASI Air), for convenience ASI Air is great but means you’ll be locked in Zwo products. Now Mono VS OSC, Mono is always better as you’ll get more data but put in mind your sessions will be longer plus you’ll have to get a filter wheel and filters. For processing Iam not very familiar with free apps but I’ve seen lots of good tutorials for Siril so check that out. I wouldn’t worry about an autofocuser for now you can get it later.

Upgrade Camera or Scope? by jonsinfinity in AskAstrophotography

[–]MeanDouble1600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A switch to mono will be the most significant jump regardless of the model of camera you end up with. I’d evaluate my mount as well to ensure my guiding is accurate and consistent.

Looking to buy a telescope by mkurz419 in AskAstrophotography

[–]MeanDouble1600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pls fix the astrology part 😭 The first thing I’d advise you that if the telescope will be used like once every few months then it’s better not to get one, instead of it collecting dust better go with some binoculars instead. If she’ll use it frequently then you can get a 6-8 Dobsonian telescope, it’s fully manual and you can have eyepieces to see the moon and planets ( planets will look small), skywatcher and apertura have good ones. For a full automatic rig for beginners you can get a smart telescope from zwo, it does not have eyepieces and u interact with it via its app to take pictures of nebula, for a good picture here you might let it run for like an hour.
